The “Frasier” Revival Is Actually Happening

October 5, 2022 / Posted by:

Last February, Paramount+ announced that they were developing a Frasier revival, and Kelsey Grammer had signed on to star and produce. A year-and-a-half later, and Deadline is reporting the reboot has been officially picked up for series. Dr. Frasier Crane will be in a new city with new characters. So now Frasier has jumped from Boston to Seattle to… wait, where is this shit set? Please tell me it’s a fish-out-of-water story set in the Deep South. “You want a 1945 Chateau Petrus? Uhhh, this is MAGA country, Doc!” Actually, maybe that’s a little on-the-nose, considering Kelsey Grammer’s real-life politics…

Open Post: Hosted By Fran Drescher Talking About A Possible Movie Adaptation Of “The Nanny”

September 30, 2022 / Posted by:

Fran Drescher, who turns 65 today (yes, that header pic is from this year), tells Entertainment Tonight that The Nanny might be getting a film adaptation. That’s right, Fran Fine is headed to the big screen, baybay! Hopefully, this idea actually pans out and doesn’t just fade into nothingness like Fran’s plans to reboot the series with Cardi B as her daughter. Actually, maybe that was a good thing. Could the eardrums of the world really handle hearing both women scream-talk “Mistah Sheffieeeeld!” at the same time? It’s a no from me, dawg!

Open Post: Hosted By The Full Trailer For Disney’s Live-Action Remake Of “Pinocchio”

August 25, 2022 / Posted by:

I still haven’t seen Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis but after covering it at length, I think I get the basics. Block headed boy is taken under the wing of an elderly stage manager type with suspicious motives and a broadly “European” accent played by Tom Hanks who pulls his strings to make him sing and dance which he’s not really good at until he meets a Black musician who animates his hips and the boy gets super famous and runs off to live a life of and debauchery and adventure before ultimately dying alone on the shitter. Have I got that right or did I just describe to you the entire plot of Robert ZemeckisPinocchio? I’d argue both are correct.

“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” Is Getting A Spin-Off

August 20, 2022 / Posted by:

In another example that Hollywood has not actually run out of ideas but, in reality, is too lazy to come up with anything new, the 80s classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is getting a spin-off. Having seen both viewer and critical success with the Karate Kid series Cobra Kai, creators Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald realized they could milk even MORE out of the content from the Greed Decade. It took us 40 years but we’re finally getting around to seeing the John Hughes Universe come to life!

Open Post: Hosted By The Chicago Premiere Of “The Devil Wears Prada” Musical

August 8, 2022 / Posted by:

The Devil Wears Prada has been ripped from the vault of Things We Don’t Fuck With and transformed into a brand new Broadway-bound musical. Now I know what you’re thinking; Why???? My answer is, I really don’t know. However, the musical opened last night in Chicago and with help from Broadway star Beth Leavel and some guy who plays the piano named Elton John.

Selena Gomez Will Produce A “Working Girl” Reboot For Hulu

August 2, 2022 / Posted by:

Since Hollywood is currently rebooting and ruining everything they can get their greedy hands on it’s now time for them to destroy 1988’s Oscar-nominated masterpiece Working Girl. If you recall, despite its title, Working Girl was not a movie about a hooker with a heart of gold but instead a tale of a young woman from modest beginnings, portrayed by Melanie Griffith, who is a glamorous secretary and becomes a boss bitch by the end of the film. In preparation for the upcoming project, Selena Gomez has signed on as a producer and it’s not clear if she’s planning to star in or not. Well since Hulu is in bed with the Kardashians now, at least we can be grateful that they didn’t turn Working Girl into a reboot called Get Your Fucking Ass Up and Work, Girl starring Kim Kardashian. I shouldn’t give them any ideas.
