I guess people aren’t exactly camping out on the sidewalks for tickets to Ben Affleck’s new movie The Way Back, where he plays a sad drunk, that opens in a couple of weeks. It’s a tough sell since we’ve already seen Ben’s personal life fall apart in real time, and we don’t really need to see yet another inspirational underdog sports movie that isn’t Rudy 2: The Kid’s Still Got It. That’s probably why we’re getting complimentary front row seats to The Ben Affleck Is Sober And Sorry Now Show. Congratulations to us all!
Courtney Love Announced That She’s 18 Months Sober
I am a truly gullible person re: substance abuse. Unless someone with an addiction formally announces “I HAVE FALLEN OFF THE WAGON” (which, um…rarely happens), I just assume they’re still sober. Yep, real sharp. Take Courtney Love. Even after all that Sam Lufti restraining order drama, the saga of Frances Bean’s ex and the guitar, and possibly ordering is MURDER (?!?!), I was still like, “Well, shit, at least my girl’s still off the bad stuff”. So color me shocked when, last fall, Courtney admitted she had relapsed into opioid addiction in 2018.

Bradley Cooper Is The Reason Brad Pitt Got Sober
During last year’s award season, it felt like you couldn’t go anywhere without hearing an A-list celebrity gush about how great Bradley Cooper is. And I thought that was an energy we all collectively agreed to leave back in 2019, but apparently Brad Pitt was not one of us. Brad took home an award at the National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala last night, which was presented to him by Bradley. There was a big Brad-on-Brad hug and a kiss, and Bradley was also the first person Brad thanked in his acceptance speech. Geez, get a piano you two! But more importantly, Brad revealed that it was Bradley Cooper who pushed him to get sober.

Much like the moon landing and the launch of the Popeyes chicken sandwich, you’ll always remember where you were when you learned that Brad Pitt might have a real problem with alcohol. Three years ago, the story broke that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s marriage might have ended after an allegedly drunk Brad went all This Boys Life on Maddox Jolie-Pitt on a private plane. If that sounded like the kind of wake-up call from rock bottom that gets someone to quit boozing, you’d be right. Brad is once again talking about his issues with alcohol, this time to The New York Times (via USA Today). And according to Brad, he had to quit drinking.

Lindsay Shookus and Ben Affleck have decided to give things another solid go. Since getting back together, Ben’s buddies have been worried that he’s in a fragile spot with his recovery, and as Lindsay is not sober, they’re afraid this re-pairing might be a bad thing. Well, Ben’s friends can untwist their bunched up panties, because sources claim Lindsay doesn’t drink around Ben. Instead, Ben and Lindsay are pushing aside the booze bottles and welcoming Britney Spear’s favorite drink of choice, the royal Frap. Ok, Ben and Lindsay are drinking boring coffee instead, but hey, at least it’s not spiked with Wild Turkey.
One Of Lindsay Lohan’s “Beach Club” Cast Members Claims She’s On Drugs
I tried watching Lohan’s Beach Club, I really did. But it was, very much, not a fun thing. Trust me, there is nothing fun about watching an emaciated circus clown berate a bunch of bewildered 20-somethings about their lack of professionalism through a Vaseline smeared lens. Lindsay Lohan‘s reality show is so shady and low-rent, you just know in your gut that there’s a gravy boat full of coke juuuuust off camera that some poor grip has to keep moving every time they set up a new shot. Not surprising to me then, that one of her “staff” members who was fired/kicked off the show, accused Lindsay of doing drugs in her parting shot.
