Thandiwe Newton Has Left “Magic Mike’s Last Dance,” Denies She Was Fired Over A Fight With Channing Tatum About The Oscars Slap
Some fuckery is afoot on the set of Magic Mike’s Last Dance, the Magic Mike sequel, which is currently filming in London with Thandiwe Newton as the romantic lead opposite Channing Tatum. According to Variety, Thandiwe suddenly decided to step down, and Salma Hayek will be taking her place. The Sun reported that Thandiwe was fired by Channing, who is also a producer, after they got into it on set over The Slap at the Oscars of all things, causing the situation between them to become “untenable.” I know Will Smith really put his back into slapping Chris Rock, but damn, I cannot believe that shit is still echoing all the way across the pond! However, The Independent reports that Thandiwe denies The Sun’s report, and, in a statement, said she “made the difficult decision to step away” to “deal with family matters.” Sounds fishy, to be sure. But whatever the case, I’m sure the MM3 costume department took a look at the news circling the water cooler this morning and muttered “we’re gonna need a bigger bra.”

Amy Schumer may have been “triggered” by The Slap, but compared to Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, she’s damn near as hard as Martha Stewart. I’m not sure if MTG even watched the Oscars, given her aversion to pedophiles and glamour, but she was more perturbed by a joke about The Slap than Amy was about it overshadowing her accomplishments as host. According to Deadline, MTG filed a report with the Capitol Police after late-night host Jimmy Kimmel joked “where’s Will Smith when you need him,” in response to MTG calling the three Republican senators who voted to confirm JUSTICE (!!!) Ketanji Brown Jackson to the US Supreme Court, “pro-pedophile.” Well, MGT fucked around and found out what happens when you tussle with the Hollywood elite because Jimmy turned around and called Batman on her ass! The Academy Has Moved Up Their Board Meeting To Discuss Possible Sanctions Against Will Smith
Cue up the part in MLK’s speech where he says “free at last,” because we’re one step closer to putting The Slap (pictured above, emblazoned on the Berlin Wall) behind us. According to CNN, The Academy of Motion Picture Sciences has moved up the date for their board meeting to discuss possible sanctions against Will Smith for walking on stage and slapping Chris Rock during the Oscars telecast on March 27th. Originally scheduled for April 18th, the meeting will now be held tomorrow, April 8th, at 9 am. And here I was under the impression that they were waiting so long because they had to interview every single person who witnessed that shit, starting with Lupita Nyong’o all the way up to Ruth McCurdy of DeKalb, Illinois, to ask them their opinion before making their assessment of what, if any, actions to bring against him. Why else would it take so long? We all saw what happened!

Last year, T.I. and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, were accused by at least 15 different women of heinousness. The accusations included sexual and physical assault, trafficking, drugging, and statutory rape. The LAPD opened an investigation last May but the case was eventually dismissed because it was not within the 10-year statute of limitations. But looks like T.I. would like all of the accusations to go away and never be brought up again. Because when comedian Lauren Knight brought up the allegations at a show that T.I. was at, he lost his whole mind. He didn’t The Slap™ her but he definitely got out of pocket.
The Producer Of The Oscars Says That The LAPD Was Prepared To Arrest Will Smith After The Slap, But Chris Rock Declined To Press Charges
Well here’s a new, even more dramatic layer to The Slap, aka what Will Smith did to Chris Rock’s joke-telling mouth at Sunday night’s Academy Awards. According to Will Packer, producer of this year’s Oscars ceremony, the situation with Will and Chris could have turned into a special live episode of Law & Order: Celebrity Crime Unit. Will Packer says that after Will hit Chris in the face, the LAPD was ready to do some slapping of their own. Slapping handcuffs on Will Smith, that is. But an extra-messy police altercation was avoided, allegedly because of Chris Rock deciding he didn’t want to go down that road.
