“Wonder Woman 1984” Will Hit Theaters And HBO Max On Christmas Day

November 19, 2020 / Posted by:

It looks like we’ll finally all get to see the much-anticipated and constantly delayed release of Wonder Woman 1984, the sequel to 2017’s Wonder Woman. And you don’t even have to leave the comfort (and safety) of your own home to do it. That’s because Warner Bros. announced that WW84 will be dropping in theaters on Christmas Day, as previously promised, but it will also premiere on HBO Max. I guess I should have been more specific when I said we’ll all finally get to see it. Technically you’re gonna have to have an HBO Max subscription, or enough charm and charisma to butter up a friend who will give you their log-in and password info. Hey, it’s the holidays – it’s the least they can do, right?

June 15, 2020 / Posted by:

Oh but wait, it will now include an intro from a Black woman who will explain its “historical context.” Megyn’s shit-filled panties just bunched right back up!

Mark Ruffalo Might Star In HBO’s Limited Series Based On “Parasite”

February 10, 2020 / Posted by:

Parasite literally JUST won Best Picture at the academy awards so you know what that means: Time for a REEEEEEEMAKE, BABY! What better time to ruin a good thing than immediately after said good thing gets popular. According to Collider, HBO is currently working on a limited series inspired by the movie, and is eyeing Mark Ruffalo to star. The project is still in the early stages but I’m guessing it will be all of the cutting commentary on class, but without all those pesky subtitles and unfamiliar faces. The only silver lining here is that Parasite director Bong Joon-ho and his co-author Han Jin-won will be involved. Vice director Adam McKay is also on board.

There Probably Won’t Be A Season 2 Of “Watchmen”

January 17, 2020 / Posted by:

*Possible (mild) spoilers for season 1 ahead.

It looks like we’ll never get to see an enormous Regina King fuck shit up with a 12-inch blue strap-on as Dr. Manhattan because Watchmen will almost certainly not be coming back for a second season. According to USA Today, the show’s creator Damon Lindelof decided to bounce while the bouncing was good. Which is perhaps a blessing considering he still probably gets hate mail for shitting the bed on those last couple seasons of Lost.

HBO Max Is Making A Musical TV Show Called “Grease: Rydell High”

October 15, 2019 / Posted by:

1950s nostalgia was already gross and weird in the ‘70s and ‘80s so it makes perfect sense to bring it back once again for #thesetryingtimes. TVLine reports that HBO Max is working on a TV show called Grease: Rydell Higha musical spinoff of the iconic movie.” But really, wasn’t Glee enough, or do we really have to add unspoken segregation and hot rods into the mix? Let me not give Lea Michele any ideas. Lea, you’re too old to be Sandy and don’t pull that “but Olivia Newton John was… wah wah wah” bullshit with me!

Open Post: Hosted By Another “Game Of Thrones” Gaffe

May 13, 2019 / Posted by:

The producers of Game of Thrones are tired. They’ve been at this shit since 2011. Sure, we’ve only gotten 8 seasons in as many years (Tyra Banks is NOT impressed), but it’s a lot of hours of television to produce. We shouldn’t be surprised that they’re getting sloppy as they approach the finish line. When season 8, episode 4 (“The Last of The Starks“) aired last week, raven-eyed viewers spotted a Starbucks cup sitting on the table in front of Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and the internet screamed CONTINUITY ERROR. Everybody knows the last Starbucks in Westeros (located next to the gift shop at the east corner of The Wall) burned down in season 7. HBO rushed to digitally erase it, but the damage was already done. People now know GOT isn’t a documentary as it was previously assumed to be. And there was another error related to last night’s penultimate episode.

*Spoilers for episode 5, “The Bells“, ahead.
