He’s Just Not Into It: Novak Djokovic Clarified His Stance On The COVID-19 Vaccine
Finally, at long last, after weeks of suffering at the hands of THe AuTHoriTIEs, tennis star Novak Djokovic has been given leave to speak his mind! And as it turns out, as he detailed in an interview with BCC News, Novak is NOT an anti-vaxxer, despite it being so tantalizingly right there in his name. Nope. He didn’t risk being unable to use his phone for several hours during the “very, very hard” time he spent in detention after arriving in Melbourne to play in the Australian Open last month which ultimately led to his deportation. Novak says he “should not be associated with the anti-vax movement,” rather he refused to get vaccinated against COVID-19 “because the principles of decision making on my body are more important than any title or anything else,” which presumably also includes children, the elderly, and anybody else who is particularly vulnerable to the disease. So no, he’s not a loser. He’s a Goddamn hero. A hero who is willing to sacrifice Wimbledon, The French Open, and any unvaccinated rugrats who get in his way.
The Rock Praised Joe Rogan’s Response To His Spotify Controversy
While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have voiced some “concerns” about getting into bed with Spotify if Joe Rogan is also gonna be there getting the sheets all greasy, The Rock is more than eager to hop on in and get a look at those legendary nips up close. And he’s even agreed to bring some of his signature tequila now that Joe’s addressed the controversy. Possible future president The Rock was apparently one of several people who were actually able to stomach the stream of verbal diarrhea spewing out of Joe’s mouth in his almost 10-minute long response to Neil Young and Joni Mitchell telling Spotify to kick rocks for helping perpetuate misinformation about COVID-19 on their #1 rated podcast The Joe Rogan Experience. According to TMZ, The Rock has sampled Joe’s hot and chunky stream and declared it to be “Great stuff.”

It’s not exactly the greatest time to be a member of the Spotify customer service support team right now. Rock icon Neil Young decided he’d officially had enough of Joe Rogan’s unrestrained ability to spread COVID-19 misinformation on his podcast platform, so Neil requested that his music be pulled from the streaming site (Spotify obliged by pulling all of Neil’s solo work). The legendary Joni Mitchell followed Neil by protesting Spotify’s choice to promote “irresponsible people spreading lies” and had her music wiped from the platform as well. Well, Spotify recently found themselves squaring off against two more unhappy famous people that were pissed off enough to…contact Spotify with their complaints! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a multi-year podcast deal with Spotify, but they recently let it be known that they too have voiced their concern about the misinformation spread on the platform. And maybe enough people with legitimate credibility have spoken up because Spotify says they’ll be adding COVID warnings, while Joe Rogan has apologized to Spotify for the backlash.

Back at the beginning of the pandemic, Lost star Daniel Dae Kim was one of the first celebrities to contract COVID-19 and his Lost costar Evangeline Lilly was one of the first celebrities to be a dickhole about it. At the time, Daniel posted a message on Instagram urging folks to take precautions, and Lily posted a message on Instagram letting people know that quarantining is for punks. This was back in March of 2020, well before several safe and effective vaccines were developed and Daniel became quite ill, but thankfully, made a full recovery. Evangeline on the other hand, still has a terrible case of the dickholes, but even if there was a vaccination against that type of thing, she’d probably protest it.

Others look at Joe Rogan and wonder how the host of Fear Factor was able to garner so much credibility. Neil Young, well – it’s pretty clear where he stands on Joe Rogan (and don’t say “At least four inches taller?“, we’re not here to make those kinds of jokes). On Monday, Neil Young, who believes in COVID-19 vaccines, posted an open letter to his personal website declaring his intention to pull all his music if Spotify didn’t finally do something about the unsubstantiated COVID claims Joe Rogan makes on their platform. Spotify took Neil up on his offer and removed most of his songs.
