Adele Is The First Artist To Sell A Million Copies Of An Album This Year
Adele is crushing it in the album sales. Which will shock nobody. Adele’s albums 21, and 25 were monster hits sales-wise and her latest 30 is no exception. In fact, Billboard says it’s the only album this year, and the first since Taylor Swift released Folklore in 2020, to sell 1 million copies in the US alone. We’re not talking just steaming. We’re talking actual physical copies of 30 too. And nobody buys those anymore. Since everyone wants to know their Spotify Wrapped, they skip over physical album purchases. But not the Adele fans.
Open Post: Hosted By The Man Who Used A Fake Arm To Avoid Getting A COVID Vaccine
We’ve all done dumb things to get out of something we didn’t want to do. On multiple occasions, I’ve pretended to get light food poisoning to get out of meetings. (Top tip: smudge eyeliner under your eyes to give yourself dark circles. It works!). But some people truly commit to the bit and even bring their own props. Case in point: a 50-year-old man from Italy bought a prosthetic arm to avoid getting a COVID-19 shot. 2021 continues with the fuckery!
Steve Burton Exits “General Hospital” After Refusing To Get Vaccinated Against COVID-19
Entertainment Weekly says that 51-year-old Steve Burton has been let go from the ABC soap opera General Hospital where he had played Jason Morgan on the series on and off from 1991 to 2012 and then returned in 2017. He joined the unemployment line with co-star, 50-year-old Ingo Rademacher, who played Jasper “Jax” Jacks and exited the series after also refusing to be vaccinated. Steve hopped on Instagram to let the people know and also show the anti-vax crowd how telegenic he is. He’ll be hosting a Fox News gig in five, four, three, two…–OH WAIT! They have vaccine mandates too.
Miles Teller Says He’s Been Vaccinated “For A While”
Yesterday, Taylor Swift dropped the new video for “I Bet You Think About Me,” co-starring Miles Teller. And all I could think about was how risky it was to film a music video with an alleged anti-vaxxer in the middle of a pandemic. Appearing within 6 feet of Miles in this pandemic is a choice. There were rumors that he didn’t care much for masks or health and safety protocols, like getting a COVID test, that he skipped getting vaccinated against COVID, then caught COVID, and allegedly caused production on The Offer to be shut down. He also went on a pandemic double date vacation with Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers, and we all know where Aaron stands on vaccines. But Miles himself would like everyone to know, he’s vaccinated, and has been for a while now.
Letitia Wright’s Vaccination Status May Be Causing Delays For “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”
Well, it’s becoming crystal clear that Letitia Wright won’t be replacing Ice Cube in Oh Hell No or subbing for Aaron Rogers as QB of the Green Bay Packers. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Letitia might have delayed production of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, again, by refusing to get vaccinated against COVID-19. THR says Letitia is still at home in London after returning there to recover from a reported on-set injury in August and hasn’t come back. Possibly because “on Nov. 8, the CDC implemented rules that require all non-immigrant, non-citizen air travelers to the U.S. be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination status before boarding a plane.” Which really just proves she’s wrong for the role of Shuri, T’Challa’s super-smart scientist sister. Shuri would have found a way to get here without having to fly commercial!
The Surgeon General Assures Matthew McConaughey That It’s Alright Alright Alright For Kids To Get The COVID Vaccine
Matthew McConaughey continues to give off the kind of suspicious vibes that make you feel convinced he really is in the middle of a not-subtle transition from Oscar-winning actor and beach bum to not-so-secretly aspiring Governor of Texas. For example, apropos of nothing, the star of The Wedding Planner and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days decided to let everyone know where he stands on mandatory COVID-19 vaccines for children. He does not like it one bit! The “folksy poet statesman” (his words) explained that more information is needed. Well, ask and you shall receive. The US Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy heard Matthew’s cries for more information, and Dr. V came back and said that it’s okay for kids to get vaccinated.
