Miles Teller Says He’s Been Vaccinated “For A While”

Yesterday, Taylor Swift dropped the new video for “I Bet You Think About Me,” co-starring Miles Teller. And all I could think about was how risky it was to film a music video with an alleged anti-vaxxer in the middle of a pandemic. Appearing within 6 feet of Miles in this pandemic is a choice. There were rumors that he didn’t care much for masks or health and safety protocols, like getting a COVID test, that he skipped getting vaccinated against COVID, then caught COVID, and allegedly caused production on The Offer to be shut down. He also went on a pandemic double date vacation with Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers, and we all know where Aaron stands on vaccines. But Miles himself would like everyone to know, he’s vaccinated, and has been for a while now.

Page Six writes that Taylor fans started nervously tugging at their collars when they saw the allegedly not-vaccinated Miles sharing screen time with their butterscotch lord and savior, and voiced their concerns online. Miles hopped on Twitter to clear up the longstanding rumor that he’s a vaccine-dodging douche. He’s many things, but a vaccine dodger is he not.

Just last month, The Hollywood Reporter published a report on how production has changed in the wake of COVID and the subsequent vaccine, and they dropped a little blind item about an actor who was dismissive of COVID protocols, that refused to get vaccinated, and eventually got COVID and infected some of the cast and crew, shutting down production. Many people guessed, “Is it Miles Teller?“, based on the report from earlier in the summer that had a source claiming Miles refused to get vaccinated, then caught COVID and shut down production. Miles’ rep denied the story at the time, and now Miles is saying he’s vaxxed.

And as many have pointed out on Twitter, Taylor’s mother Andrea Swift has cancer and is immunocompromised, and Taylor wouldn’t likely fuck around with unvaxxed people. As well, the video was directed by Blake Lively, who has three little kids, so – again – probably not the type of person who would be willingly inviting careless anti-vaxxers into their circle.

Miles’ Twitter revelation serves two purposes. One, it allegedly confirms he’s not walking around unvaxxed and unbothered. And two, it can help him in the future the next time he gets wrapped up in some Miles Teller-y antics, like fighting people over alleged unpaid wedding bills at a restaurant. He’s a cocky mess, but hey, at least he’s not also a one-man super spreader, I guess?
