Miles Teller had the wedding of his dreams nearly two years ago when he married the love of his life, Keleigh Sperry, in Maui, Hawaii. I’m sure it was a special day that he and Keleigh will never forget. Except that it sounds like they did forget one aspect of their wedding, and that’s remembering to pay the wedding planner responsible for planning the whole thing. Miles and Keleigh are currently on a double-couples vacation in Maui, Hawaii with engaged couple Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers. And while in Hawaii, Miles bumped into the wedding planner he allegedly stiffed. According to sources, the wedding planner wasn’t exactly thrilled to see Miles and punched him.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that the alleged incident went down on Wednesday night at a restaurant on the island of Maui and that it was just Miles and his wife at dinner. The ghost of an alleged $60,000 wedding planner bill haunts Miles to this day, and a nice dinner was not in the cards.
Sources who were at the restaurant tell TMZ, Miles was in the bathroom when a man confronted him and punched him in the face. We’re told the 2 got into it outside the bathroom and Miles screamed that he was going to press charges.
We’re told the man who punched Miles allegedly was a wedding planner who claimed Miles owed him $60,000 for services he performed for Miles’ wedding in Maui back in 2019. Our eyewitnesses claim the man was complaining to Miles he had not gotten paid.
I wonder if that wedding planner laid hands on Miles as J.K. Simmons did to Miles in Whiplash. “When it comes to getting me my money, were you rushing or were you dragging?? Your wedding happened two fucking years ago, I’d say you haven’t exactly been rushing to get it in the mail. The speed at which you’re paying me is not quite my tempo!”
The sources add that Miles and Keleigh left the restaurant immediately after the altercation and that Miles didn’t appear to be seriously hurt. Police tell TMZ that the incident happened at around 7:30 pm, and that while no one was arrested, they’re currently investigating the situation. A rep for Miles Teller could not be reached for comment. But this isn’t Miles’ first public scuffle. Back in 2017, Miles was reportedly arrested for public drunkenness after getting inebriated and acting messy with police.
I will say that if you’ve got a reputation for being an asshole, getting punched in the face over refusal to pay a $60,000 wedding bill isn’t great for your brand. But the people I feel the worst for is the housekeeping staff at the resort where Miles is staying. They probably heard that a wedding planner had to hunt Miles down for money, and thought, “Welp, there goes the possibility of a $5 tip for turn-down service.”
