Andy Cohen’s been super busy being a prolific maestro of mess lately, so it should come as no surprise that during last night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, he was able to extract several pieces of intriguing information from his guest, UNCUH JAM/worrisome alley cat, Julia Fox. Over the span of 30 minutes, Julia–who has become my modern-day Forrest Gump on account of the way she bafflingly weasels her way into random situations–said that she hasn’t kept in contact with Kanye West since their monthlong fling ended, and he probably never even knew her full name. She also shared that she hasn’t spoken to her pogo sister, Kim Kardashian, about David Duke 2.0, despite crossing paths with her. She rounded out her half-hour of dropping nuggets by describing her best celebrity date, later letting it slip that it might’ve been with Drake.

When it was announced that Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper wouldn’t be tickling their throats with copious amounts of alcohol during the annual NYE broadcast on CNN, it was a shock for many. Especially since there’s no better way to say goodbye to the old year than by watching them slur their words hours before the ball drops, but thanks to aging boy scout Ryan Seacrest, who thought they should leave the joy juice alone while on air, they both opted to have a set dryer than Ryan’s love life. And there have been repercussions for these actions since now Ryan is saying Andy gave him the cold shoulder when he tried to speak to him on New Year’s Eve.

Another update to CNN-NYE Sobergate ’23! Last year, Andy Cohen got all kinds of wasted on CNN’s New Year’s Eve broadcast. Rather than blame Andy, the network decided to blame booze. Last month, Variety reported that CNN expected their hosts and correspondents to scale back on the drinking. Andy responded to Variety’s report on Watch What Happens Live! with this proclamation: “Anderson and I are going to party harder than we have ever partied before on New Year’s Eve!” Then, yesterday, Rolling Stone published an interview with Andy (recorded last month), where he doubled down on his party plans. He claimed he and co-host Anderson Cooper would be “partying responsibly.” Unfortunately, in the weeks since, Andy has changed his tune. 362 days ago, Andy Cohen got schwasted while hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve coverage. He went off on former New York mayor Bill de Blasio and referred to Ryan Seacrest and his cronies at ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve as “a group of losers.” Whoops! Even though Andy faced some backlash for his drunk-skunk antics, CNN pretty much immediately confirmed that they’d asked him and Anderson Cooper back for NYE 2023. However, last month, the network announced that they wanted their hosts to scale back on the drinking. Well, Ryan Seacrest has added his two cents during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. He says he doesn’t “advocate” booze on the air, and CNN’s plan to scale back is a “good idea.” Ugh, what a LOSER thing to say!

Andy Cohen was a guest on the season finale of Meghan Markle’s podcast Archetypes. Lemme guess. The archetype du jour was: “Messy Bitches Who Allegedly Offered Kathy Griffin Coke”? Sadly, no. The episode was actually about “Man-ifesting a Cultural Shift” (SNORE), and it also featured Trevor Noah and Judd Apatow. Up until now, the guests on Archetypes have all been women. But, based on a suggestion from Prince Harry, Meghan decided to include some male guests to “broaden the conversation” about female stereotypes.
