Brad Pitt recently took his long-term fight against his former wife Angelina Jolie to a new level when he accused her of deliberately trying to destroy his precious French wine business. Brad is suing Angelina over her shares of Château Miraval, which are technically no longer her shares, because she effectively sold them last year. Angie probably thought that chapter of her life was closed the second shares were exchanged for cash, but Brad won’t let this go, and the latest development is that accusation that Angelina sold the shares on purpose, just to destroy his business. The bad news for Brad is that it appears Angelina isn’t too stressed about any public mud-slinging Brad might be currently engaging in.

But it seems like there’s at least one train car still on the tracks, and that’s casting for the titular role. There were a number of names that were thrown into the conversation about who might play Madonna. The list included actresses and/or singers like Sydney Sweeney, Barbie Ferreira, Florence Pugh, Julia Garner, Alexa Demie, Odessa Young, Emma Laird, Bebe Rexha, and Sky Ferreira. I was personally hoping that Madonna and casting director Carmen Cuba would go avant-garde with it, and cast all of them in an I’m Not There-style creative multiverse situation. I’m going to have to keep waiting on such a thing, because it looks like Madonna has settled on her younger self being played by Julia Garner.
