Prince William Screamed At Prince Harry In Front Of THE QUEEN, And Other “Revelations” From The Final Episodes Of “Harry & Meghan”

Do you feel that? It’s the earth finally settling after it was rocked by all the bombshells (not really) dropped during the final three episodes of Netflix’s Harry & Meghan, which came out today. The first three episodes were covered by Mieka last week, and those episodes were very “when the book report assignment calls for a 1,200-word count, but you’ve only got 400 words in you, so you’ve got to stretch that shit out.” The last three episodes were kind of the same. They cover the royal family drama over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle quitting that bitch, Tyler Perry becoming their Captain Save-A-Ho, and a text from BEYONCE! I know, Harry and Meghan buried the lede. Netflix says that Harry & Meghan is its biggest documentary debut ever, but its debut would’ve been a zillion times bigger if the show was only titled: A Text From Beyonce (featuring Harry and Meghan).

Volume I of Harry & Meghan ends right before their wedding goes down, and Volume II gets into everything after that. During an episode, Harry talks about the “Sandringham Summit” at THE QUEEN’s Norfolk estate in January 2020, just a few days after he and Meghan announced they were leaving senior royal life. Harry says that during that meeting, the last three hairs on Prince Williams’ dome hung on for dear life as his head boiled with rage while yelling at Harry. via People:

“I went in with the same proposal that we’d already made publicly. But once I got there, I was given five options: one being all in no change, five being all out,” he recalled. “I chose option three in the meeting: half in, half out; have our own jobs but also work in support of the Queen.”

Despite this, he said that his decision provoked a reaction from the family that was not one of compromise.

“It became very clear very quickly that that goal was not up for discussion or debate,” said Harry. “It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me, and my father say things that simply weren’t true and my grandmother quietly sit there and sort of take it all in.”

THE QUEEN was probably thinking to herself, “God save ME from this mess,” before deciding if she should just have another gin or pick up her pocketbook to slap all those messy hos down with.

As for when The Palace and the media started turning on Harry and Meghan, he believes that moment happened when all the spotlights started to fall on Meghan. Harry says that when someone marries into the royal family, they’re supposed to be a supporting role and not the main character. And when Harry and Meghan’s popularity rose, that’s when the bad stories about them started coming out. via Cosmo:

He added, “It shifts the balance, because you’ve been led to believe the only way that your charities can succeed, the only way that your reputation can be grown or improved, is if you’re in the front page of those papers. But the media are the ones who choose who to put on the from page.”

Harry then gave an example, saying that “the first time that the penny dropped” was when he and Meghan were at Buckingham Palace after a joint event with every senior members of the royal family. That morning, every paper had Meghan front and center, with Kate Middleton on the side.

“On the front page of The Telegraph, Meghan,” Harry said, while Meghan herself noted, “I went ‘Oh my god.'” Harry then recalled Meghan saying “but it’s not my fault, and I said, ‘I know, and my mum felt the same way.'”

At this point, Harry explained that press coverage of Meghan started becoming more and more negative.

In the trailer for Volume II, Harry says that “they were happy to lie to protect my brother.” The “they” Harry is talking about is The Palace. Harry accused P. Willy’s PR team of planting stories about him and Meghan in the press and that it broke his heart because he and his brother promised never to pull that dirty shit on each other. via Reuters:

“It is a dirty game. There’s leaking but there’s also planting of stories,” said Harry. “So if the comms (communications) team want to be able to remove a negative story about their principal, they will trade and give you something about someone else’s principal.”

“I would far rather get destroyed in the press than play along with this game, or this business of trading,” Harry said. “To see my brother’s office copy the very same thing that we promised the two of us would never ever do, that was heartbreaking.”

Harry also believes that his dad’s PR office leaked the news of his and Meghan’s move to Canada.

As they did in the first part of their docuseries, Harry and Meghan talked a lot about the media’s attack on them and how it affected her mental health. Harry believes that the stress from Meghan’s copyright infringement lawsuit against The Mail on Sunday, which she eventually won, caused her to suffer a miscarriage in 2020.

Meghan and Harry’s friend Tyler Perry was interviewed for the docuseries. Tyler first wrote to Meghan before her wedding when all the drama with her father was happening and let her know that he was praying for her. And before Harry and Meghan permanently moved to Montecito, they stayed at Tyler’s Beverly Hills mansion for a bit. Tyler offered up his mansion without even meeting them in person. They all became friends, and Harry and Meghan later asked The Shitty Wig Don to be the godfather to their second child, Lilibet. Tyler only agreed to be Lilibet’s godfather if he didn’t have to partake in any big Royal Family formalness. via People:

“I called them back and go, ‘Uh, hold on a second — does this mean we gotta go over [to the U.K.] and do all of that in church with [the royal family] and figure all that out? ‘Cause I don’t wanna do that,’ ” he said. ” ‘Maybe we can do a little private ceremony here [in the U.S.] and let that be that, and if you have to do it there, then that’s okay.’ “

And finally, in a moment that was stolen by an appearance from Harry and Meghan’s pooch, Meghan reads a text of praise she received from Beyonce:

Now that Harry & Megan is out, sources tell The Telegraph that “this is the end, they are ready to move on.” Why do I have a feeling that the source was cut off before they could finish their sentence? I think they meant to say, “They are ready to move on to rehashing all of this again in book form,” since Harry’s memoir is out next month. No breaks for them! Insert “guttural moan” here.
