Prince Harry Says That “They Were Happy To Lie To Protect My Brother” In The Trailer For “Volume II” Of Netflix’s “Harry & Meghan”

The first part of Harry & Meghan (aka The Oprah Interview: The B-Sides) is a hit in the UK for Netflix. The first episode got 2.4 million smart TV views in one day. And it’s safe to say that 2.3 million of those views came from Piers Morgan’s viciously hate-fapping to the show so hard that he forgot to wish his wife a happy birthday publicly. The last three episodes (or “Volume II” as it’s pretentiously called) of Harry & Meghan come out this week. To promote it, Netflix released a trailer, and it’s pretty much the same ole same ole.’ But there’s a moment when Prince Harry says, “THEY were happy to lie to protect my brother.” As for who is the THEY that Harry is talking about, is it the Palace? Is it the media? Is it the blind tricks who declared Prince William the hottest bald guy on the planet? Well, even Netflix might be confused about who the “they” is.

The first three out of six hours (!!!!) of Harry & Meghan tried to push Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as the royal love story of our time when we all know that the real royal love story of our time is between the late great Duchess of Alba and her 60-something boy toy. The first part covers Harry and Meghan’s backgrounds and all the drama leading up to their wedding. And they tell us the thrilling details of their first two dates (SPOILER ALERT: he was late to the first, she was late to the second). It felt like hearing the love story of a couple who always insist on sitting on the same side of a restaurant booth during date night. The second part will pick up where the first part left off and cover their wedding and their stage-left exit from life as senior Royals. In the second trailer, Harry mentions “the institutional gaslighting,” Meghan says that “they” turned her into wolf food, and he says, “they were happy to lie to protect my brother; they were never willing to tell the truth to protect us.

Many media sites think that the “they” Harry is referring to is the Royal Family… BUT WAIT! The Daily Mail, which has written approximately 35,685,999 articles about this trailer alone, felt their ears burn up and explode when Harry said “they.” Because according to them, the captioning on the YouTube trailer reads, “They were happy to lie to protect my brother,” while the subtitles on the trailer on Netflix’s UK site read, “The British media are happy to lie to protect my brother.

The second part of Harry & Meghan comes out on Thursday, and so that’s when we’ll see if they’re going to actually drop some shit and name names, or if Haz and Meg are just going to continue to rehash things and keep it vague. If that’s the case, Netflix should just go ahead and rename the show Re-HAZ-ing.
