Open Post: Hosted By The “Saturday Night Live” Spoof Of Nicole Kidman’s AMC Commercial

October 3, 2022 / Posted by:

Season 48 of Saturday Night Live premiered this past Saturday, and despite a ton of talented cast members (and Pete Davidson) leaving after last season, the show went on. And one notable skit starred Chloe Fineman in a spoof of Nicole Kidman’s commercial for AMC Theaters. SNL’s parody added another layer to the already dramatic original without even changing the script.

Those who watch Saturday Night Live, may get a dose of the cast singing Goodbye Butthole Eyes to the tune of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road at the end of tonight’s show. Because Pete Davidson is FINALLY leaving along with longtime SNL MVP Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant (NooooOOnnnn!), and Kyle Mooney, better known as the dude who plays Baby Yoda. Deadline says that at the end of tonight’s 47th season finale, which will be hosted by Natasha Lyonne, all four will take their final bows…. before Lorne Michaels comes out to remind them that they signed over their sooooouuuuls to him and they can’t leave ever!

John Mulaney Gave A Shout-Out To Olivia Munn On “SNL,” And She Joined Him At An After Party

February 28, 2022 / Posted by:

We haven’t heard much regarding whatever it is that’s going on between John Mulaney and Olivia Munn in a while. Which is actually more like an eerie calm, considering there was a time when we were all crunching the numbers on their relationship in full show-your-work algebra mode like Good Will Hunting. But John is back, and his grand return happened on Saturday night’s episode of Saturday Night Live. Obviously he didn’t spend the whole show gushing about what an incredible and totally 100% morally ethical situation he’s currently in with the former star of The Newsroom. Because come on, he had sketches to read cue cards in. But he did briefly mention her in his monologue, as well as crack a few jokes about their 12-week-old son.

Chevy Chase Says He “Just Doesn’t Care” That People Think He’s Awful To Work With

February 15, 2022 / Posted by:

Chevy Chase doesn’t seem to be very well-liked. The 78-year-old comedian has gotten a reputation for being a general asshole and lost his job on the series, Community, in 2012 after he let an N-word fly in a tirade. And as former co-star, Donald Glover, remembers it, Chevy was an antagonistic jerk. And back in 2018, Pete Davidson talked about Chevy Chase on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show and said: “Fuck Chevy Chase… He’s just a genuinely bad, racist person and I don’t like him.” Well, Chevy knows that people think this way about him, and as he told CBS Sunday Morning: “I just don’t care.”

“Saturday Night Live” Went On Without An Audience And Most Of The Cast

December 19, 2021 / Posted by:

Last night was supposed to be Saturday Night Live’s holiday episode and it was the fifth time that Paul Rudd hosted, so he was inducted into The Five-Timers Club. But the true host of the night was that bootleg Transformers-sound bitch Omicron. SNL should’ve opened with Omicron smugly declaring, “Live from New York, it’s ME!” Because just hours before the show was to begin, we learned that SNL was hit with a COVID-19 breakout and several cast and crew members tested positive. Other cast members called out after deciding that it was too risky to do the show. And because of the bare-bones crew, musical Charli XCX also bowed out. All live skits were scrapped and the show was made up of an awkward cold open, pre-taped skits, classic skits, and Tina Fey filling in for Colin Jost on Weekend Update. Honestly, the show should’ve just been People’s Sexiest Man Alive winking and smoldering for the camera for 90-minutes straight.

Meghan McCain Really Didn’t Like Getting Parodied On “Saturday Night Live”

October 20, 2021 / Posted by:

The View has been joked about on Saturday Night Live since the Cheri Oteri days, but SNL was really able to get some sketch comedy mileage out of its recent seasons. Aka, the seasons in which The View was basically a daytime TV version of the Thunderdome, in which Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, and Ana Navarro enter, and only Meghan McCain’s bloated sense of entitlement leaves. Meghan has been parodied on SNL plenty of times, and she recently let everyone know that she did NOT think it was very funny.
