Last month, it was reported that the results of Meghan Markle’s bullying investigation probably weren’t going to see the light of day. Truly a day that would live in infamy. The report was from Buckingham Palace’s investigation into the allegations that Meghan bullied palace staff when she was still a senior royal. That investigation came and went, and no one heard anything about the results, because the Palace didn’t want them to be seen. Meghan hasn’t said anything about the results of that investigation, but sources have spilled how she might feel about the whole situation, and generally, she’s a-ok with the Palace acting so sketchy about the results.

Queen Elizabeth’s long-anticipated Platinum Jubilee weekend spectacular has finally drawn to a close, and there were many notable moments. The only problem when you’re celebrating a 96-year-old monarch is that sometimes she’s not going to be there for those moments. The Queen hasn’t been feeling her absolute best in recent days, so her attendance record for this Jubilee was just a little more than spotty. Can you blame her? She’s old and rich. I wouldn’t be wasting my precious energy on any more waves and smiles than necessary either. But The Queen did show up for the final event of her four-day celebration, the Platinum Jubilee Pageant.

It’s all Jubilee, all the time in the UK right now, in honor of 96-year-old Queen Elizabeth’s 70 years on the throne. Liz is 96, so it should come as no surprise to anyone that after the excitement of yesterday’s Trooping of the Colour event, she likely flopped into a chair and hollered, “Hooo wee, that’s enough excitement for me! Cancel my plans for tomorrow and book me a foot massage.” Because Queen Elizabeth was supposed to attend the National Service of Thanksgiving today at St. Paul’s Cathedral, but she bailed. Everyone else showed up, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. And of course, their appearance had drama enthusiasts giddy with joy because they reportedly sat across the aisle from their least favorite couple in the UK, Prince William and Duchess Kate.

Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee is upon us. And there’s one major mystery that had yet to reveal itself. Okay, technically two, if you count whether or not The Queen is going to pop out of a giant platinum-plated dish of Cherries Jubilee in a bikini (I’m going with: definitely). It was whether Prince Harry felt safe enough to bring Meghan Markle and his two kids, Archie and Lilibet, from California to the UK for the event. Harry had made it very well known that he didn’t feel safe bringing his whole family to the UK unless he was able to secure police protection, which he was more than happy to pay for out of his own pocket. That was a situation that turned into a mess of a mess, with the UK saying that, no, they wouldn’t rent out police security to the Sussexes for future visits. Well, someone’s arm was sufficiently twisted, because TMZ is reporting that Harry, Meghan, and the kids, will all get a little police security for granny’s big weekend.

If I were Prince Andrew, I might simply choose to disappear into an unused palace drawing room for the remainder of my days, emerging only for a cup of tea and a medium take-out slide from Pizza Express. The disgrace of a very public sexual abuse lawsuit that was reportedly settled using someone else’s money would likely be just too embarrassing for the average person to ever show their face in public again. But Prince Andrew isn’t average, he’s the Duke of Delusion and he reportedly believes he can waltz back into public life with the confidence of a man who just erased everyone’s long-term memories. But his secret weapon isn’t one of those brain wiping pens from Men in Black, but some major face time with his mother, Queen Elizabeth.

Imagine spending 70 years on the British throne in an uncomfortable gold crown and an endless amount of pastel skirt suits, denied even the most basic of life’s pleasures, like peeling and eating a banana like a regular person, just to get upstaged by a couch-jumping Yankee at one of your many Platinum Jubilee celebrations?
