Adam can’t really do any personal character research because Maurizio is dead. But Lady Gaga could have helped get herself into character by speaking with the real-life Patrizia. She didn’t do that, and you know what? The real-life Patrizia didn’t like that, and she’s kind of mad about it.

Earlier this week, Taylor Swift dragged Netflix’s teen series Ginny & Georgia for beating the most-dead horse in Taylor’s reputation stable by making a joke about her dating history. And I don’t know what Taylor was hoping to achieve by publicly calling them out. If it was attention, well then – mission accomplished. If it was the potential for some satisfying revenge, Taylor is going to have to keep waiting on that, because Netflix hasn’t cancelled Ginny & Georgia (and they probably won’t, because it’s popular). I don’t think Taylor was hoping that her public shaming of Ginny & Georgia would result in a random female writer going into hiding to protect herself against death threats and doxxing, but that’s where we’re currently at.
