Some Taxpayers Are Mad About The Cost Of Prince William And Duchess Kate’s Train Tour
The COVID-19 pandemic keeps on keeping on (and on and on in some parts of North America), but over in the UK, they got a bit of good COVID news. Today, the first coronavirus vaccines were administered to a few elderly UK citizens, including William Shakespeare. That doesn’t mean COVID is over, of course. It just means things might be going in the right direction. And in honor of the heroic effort put forth by the UK’s essential workers, the Royal Family decided to send Prince William and Duchess Kate out on a train across the land to personally thank them. Awwww, how nice. Except not everyone thinks it’s cute that William and Kate have been chug-chug-chugging around the UK on the taxpayer’s dime.
Sir David Attenborough Gave Prince George A Fossilized Shark Tooth From Malta, And Malta Wants It Back
Ah, the tragedy of being a rich little royal prince. You hold out your hand to accept a 23 million-year-old shark tooth from an elderly natural historian that your great-granny decorated with a knighthood back in ’85, only to discover that its country of origin demands the artifact be returned immediately. Prince George barely wrapped his fingers around that dinosaur dental bone, and now he’s expected to give it up? According to the country of Malta, yes – that’s exactly what they want.
Courtiers Considered Meghan Markle To Be A Cable Actress, And Other Excerpts From “Finding Freedom”
Not very long ago, a source claimed that Meghan Markle never felt protected by the Royal Family, and that she would have really appreciated if they had spoken up about some of the shit that was written about her instead of keeping their tea-sippers sealed. Well, I’ve got a feeling some members of the Royal Family are suddenly going to feel motivated to defend their honor with a denial statement or two in the next coming days. Because this weekend saw the release of several excerpts of Finding Freedom, aka the Meghan and Prince Harry tell-all (that they reportedly didn’t contribute to at all). And naturally, we’ve got a few moments that don’t exactly reflect kindly on the Royal Family they left behind.
Kensington Palace Put Out New Pictures Of Prince William For Father’s Day And His Birthday
I don’t know why, but when I think of Father’s Day, Prince William is usually the last person who comes to mind. But I get it, he’s a father. And a royal. And it’s his birthday. So, I guess it makes sense that new photos of him frolicking with his three kids, looking totally natural––as though they do stuff like that every day––would be released today, of all days.
Prince William And Duchess Kate Might Sue Over The “Inaccuracies” In Tatler’s Recent Profile
Last week, Tatler magazine published a cover story on Duchess Kate, calling her “Catherine the Great” and heavily suggesting that she’s carrying the whole damn Royal Family on her back. Tatler claimed Kate has been working tirelessly around the clock since Meghan Markle stepped down as a senior royal in January. Kensington Palace, home to Kate and Prince William, fired back, saying that Tatler’s piece contained many “inaccuracies and false misrepresentations,” which seemed to imply they didn’t like the anti-Meghan angle that Tatler seemed to lean into. They also claimed they weren’t warned of the material in the piece beforehand.
Tatler responded by saying that Kensington Palace was very well aware of the piece before it went to press and basically called them liars. And now, according to The Daily Mail, William and Kate have threatened Tatler with a lawsuit.
Kensington Palace Points Out The “Inaccuracies” In Tatler’s Profile Of Duchess Kate
This week, Tatler Magazine released a profile on Duchess Kate. It’s a long piece that goes a little extra on their Kate love, like dubbing her “Catherine the Great,” referring to her as a “kingmaker,” and basically calling her the shiny-haired savior of the Royal Family. You would think that the Royal Family would love getting good publicity (which they can always use). But instead, Kensington Palace has decided to issue a statement about the Tatler piece, in which they heavily imply that Tatler has been telling some lies.
