The Santa Fe Sheriff’s Department Has Obtained A Search Warrant For Alec Baldwin’s Cell Phone
I don’t know how you accidentally shoot someone then turn around and make things a million times worse for yourself by marinating in a toxic stew of victimhood and hubris spiced with a steady stream of diarrhea of the mouth. But that’s Alec Baldwin for you. In his initial statements to the media following the accidental shooting death of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, which also resulted in the film’s director Joel Souza being shot in the shoulder, Alec assured us via Twitter that he was “fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred.” Apparently though, turning over his cell phone to police when asked was a bridge too far. Now a judge has taken that decision out of Alec’s hands and granted a search warrant for his phone and some poor sap has to sift through thousands of messages from Hilaria Baldwin asking him to pick up a baby on his way home.

Daniel Baldwin Says His Brother Alec Baldwin Is Being “Scapegoated” For His Political Views In The Wake Of The “Rust” Shooting
After that bizarre impromptu press conference, Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Baldwin held on the side of the road last month to address his involvement in the death of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutches, I think Alec probably realized he’s better off without his wife’s roadside assistance. So this time, instead of calling Triple E (aka Eeelaria), he’s got his least famous brother, Daniel Baldwin, defending him on something called The Domenick Nati Show saying that actors are “dumb” and therefore Alec 100% NOT GUILTY of doing anything wrong despite being the person who, albeit accidentally, aimed a gun at Halyna and pulled the trigger, causing her to die. According to TMZ, Daniel says that Alec is getting blamed for Haylna’s death because of his political views. I guess Daniel thinks that if Donald Trump can stand in the middle of 5th Ave and shoot somebody and not lose any followers, so should Alec. It’s only fair. Meanwhile, George Clooney, who lost his friend Brandon Lee to an on-set accidental shooting, seems to agree on one point at least — Alec is dumb. He blames the Rust disaster “a series of tragedies. But also, a lot of stupid mistakes.”
The Flood Gates Are Open: The First “Rust” Lawsuit Has Been Filed Against Alec Baldwin And Others Who Worked On The Movie
The first of what will surely be many more lawsuits to come has been filed against Alec Baldwin, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, and Dave Halls over the accidental shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the western Rust. According to TMZ, Serge Svetnoy, a gaffer on the production who was there that day, has filed the suit “claiming the defendants’ alleged negligence caused him severe emotional distress in the aftermath of it all.” As we know, Alec pulled the trigger on the gun that sent a bullet through Haylna’s body and into director Joel Souza’s shoulder. As armorer, Hannah loaded the gun and Dave handed it to Alec claiming it was “cold,” indicating that it did not contain live rounds. Tragically that was not the case. In fact, NBC News reports that the Santa Fe District Attorney announced today that police found “additional live rounds” among the 500 rounds of ammunition that were collected in the days following the incident.

The fallout from the “mass casualty event” that occurred last Friday night in Houston at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival has been swift. With 8 confirmed casualties and scores more injured, the lawsuits have already started to fly. So, perhaps in order to avoid a mass casualty event to his wealth portfolio, Travis has come forward to slap a Band-Aid on the door to the elevator from The Shining by offering to pay for the funeral costs of the fans that died and is partnering with BetterHelp to offer one month of “one-on-one online therapy for anyone who requires it in the wake of the incident,” according to NME. Apparently, “these are the first of many steps Travis plans on taking as a part of his personal vow to assist those affected throughout their grieving and recovery process.” The next steps will probably be up and down the courthouse stairs for many years to come.
“Rust” Armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed’s Attorney Claims Possible “Sabotage” Led To Fatal Shooting
Hard to imagine things being any messier and more dramatic than they already were but Rust armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed’s lawyer appeared on Today this morning screaming SABOTAGE. And Alec Baldwin has posted a 7-part screed on Instagram denying that things were messy and dramatic on set. As we know, Alec accidentally shot and killed Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza using a gun that was handed to him by assistant director Dave Halls, who reportedly told him that the gun was “cold,” meaning it contained no live rounds. But the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department collected 500 rounds of ammunition from the set and determined that they included “a mix of blanks, dummy rounds and, possibly, live rounds.” Hannah’s lawyer previously stated that Hannah “had no idea” where the live rounds came from and on Today suggested that a “disgruntled” crew member might have introduced a live round to the box of ammunition from which Hannah loaded the gun Halnya was killed with.
