Despite all of the things I couldn’t believe about the totally genuine relationship that sprung up out of nowhere between Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich, there is ONE element that I don’t doubt for a minute and that is the idea that Max has his own Google Alert set up for anytime his name is mentioned in the news. Demi Lovato Might Have Been Questioning Max Ehrich’s Intentions
Yesterday we learned the devastating news that Demi Lovato called off her engagement to her actor fiancé of about 2.6 seconds, Max Ehrich. This development happened after Max had been exposed online as a former (and who knows, maybe current???) obsessive fan of Demi’s current acquaintance Selena Gomez. “Devastating” might sound like an over-exaggeration in this case. But it might be devastating to Max that he’s no longer engaged to Demi Lovato. Because according to some sources, Max might have been more in love with the relevancy boost he got from being with Demi.

You know, the one who allegedly bought her a $2 to $5 million engagement ring after five months of dating, and who was also allegedly a major Selenator with a history of implied Demi dragging? That one. Demi claimed not to care about Max’s alleged history, but that might not be the case. Page Six is saying that things are rockier than that giant rock Max allegedly bought her.

Several weeks ago, Demi Lovato got engaged to her boyfriend of just five months, former soap actor/singer Max Ehrich. At 28, this is Demi’s first engagement, and methinks it won’t be her last, because shit is already starting to hit the fan. A bunch of Max’s old social media posts have resurfaced, in which the pretty boy declares his undying love for Demi’s sworn enemy/former bestie Selena Gomez. The internet brought out a tweet from 2015 that maybe takes a swipe at his future would-be wife, Demi: “There’s a female singer that screams so much, that’s why my girl S is better than you know who 😂 !”

Earlier this week, Demi Lovato got engaged to actor/singer/pretty boy LA-type Max Ehrich after just five months of dating (but keep in mind it was quarantine months, which, when converted into regular time, is roughly two years). Max presented Demi with a ginormous diamond engagement ring that gives those peasants JLo and A-Rod a run for their money.
Now TMZ is reporting that the ring is worth anywhere from $2.5 to $5 million, all because it’s a “special cut” from super fancy celebrity jeweler Peter Marco. Ooo, ahhhh, a Marco original! TMZ’s sources say the rock weighs somewhere between 10-20 carats, and is “an emerald cut that was handset in platinum, and flanked on all sides by smaller (only relatively) trapezoid-shaped diamonds designs.” What’s a trapezoid again? Is it like a rhombus? Fuck my inferior sixth-grade geometry education.

Congratulations to Demi Lovato and actor/singer Max Ehrich. The first real coronavirus celebrity engagement! Ah, love in total isolation. I’m sure it’ll translate seamlessly to the hustle and bustle of the real world.
These two quarantined together and went public with their relationship in late March. Just three months before that, Demi ended things with model Austin Wilson. So yeah, it’s fast. But I guess when ya know, ya know! And, in her Instagram engagement announcement, Demi says she knew she loved Max the moment she met him. Max apparently once tweeted that he wanted to marry Selena Gomez. So….close?
