Beyoncé And Jay-Z Skipped The Golden Globes Red Carpet, And She Stayed Sitting During The Standing O For Joaquin Phoenix

January 6, 2020 / Posted by:

For the first time in over ten years, the Golden Globe Awards were blessed by the Holy Spirit. Beyoncé herself deigned to show up to the awards show with her husband, Jay-Z, and they skipped that whole red carpet-thing and just went straight to the awards show… an hour late. Well at least they brought their own booze?

Ryan Gosling Could Possibly Play Batman In The “Joker” Cinematic Universe

December 3, 2019 / Posted by:

Back in October, Jared Leto learned the cold hard truth that people really do still want to see movies about The Joker (just not ones starring him). Todd Phillips’ gritty, greasy Joker broke a bunch of box office records, which in Hollywood accounting terms means it will probably be getting a sequel. There’s word that the sequel will have Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker meeting Batman. And it’s rumored that one of the names being thrown around for Batman is Ryan Gosling.

A “Joker” Sequel Is Definitely Happening, Unless It’s Not, But It Probably Is

November 20, 2019 / Posted by:

Clowns are super dramatic, we know this. They simply have no chill. When the inevitable Joker sequel comes to pass, Warner Bros. should consider replacing Joaquin Phoenix with Lea Michele, because that’s the kind of energy required. Two different trades, The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline, are offering two different versions of the same story. Both agree that Joker’s $1 billion windfall all but guarantees a sequel. However, THR says director Todd Phillips and Joaquin are already practicing their creepy clown end zone dances. They also report that Todd had a meeting with Warner Bros. and walked away with new DC origin story under his arm. And Deadline says THR is full of shit and that meeting never even happened. Are you prepared for the Great Clown Wars of 2020? Don’t bother, they’re here.

Open Post: Hosted By The Joker Stairs

October 22, 2019 / Posted by:

The influencers are at it again! Fans of Joaquin Phoenix‘s unhinged noodle dancing are flocking to the Bronx staircase that is featured prominently on the movie poster for Joker. In the movie, Arthur Fleck finally embraces his inner Joker, who in turn finally embraces his inner college dude wearing a drug rug at a Phish concert, and struts his stuff down a flight of stairs that are located in the Highbridge section of the Bronx. If you’ve ever been to the Bronx or know a Bronx native, you’ll understand why they aren’t thrilled. It’s fair to say that most Bronx natives don’t have inner Phish Phans yearning to be free. #Thefuck?

Jared Leto Was Upset That He Didn’t Get To Play The Joker In “Joker”

October 11, 2019 / Posted by:

Even though Martin Scorsese thumbed his nose at Marvel, claiming their loud and proud superhero explosion fests don’t meet the bar of “Cinema”, The Hollywood Reporter says that Martin was once attached to Joker, and a source claims he had even considered directing it himself at some point. Turns out we might have Martin to thank/blame for drumming up so much interest in a standalone Joker movie that it actually happened. And unfortunately, the list of casualties in Joker’s wake include more than just your poor strained eyeballs when you heard about Todd Phillip‘s inability to write comedy and Joaquin’s Phoenix‘s extreme dieting and on-set pranks. Jared Leto’s feelings were also hurt!

The Video Of Joaquin Phoenix Flipping Out On “Joker’s” Cinematographer Was A Prank

October 8, 2019 / Posted by:

During Joaquin Phoenix’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week, Jimmy Kimmel played an outtake shot during filming of Joker, in which serious actor Joaquin tears a verbal strip off “Larry,” the film’s cinematographer. Jimmy said the clip came from Joker director Todd Phillips. In the clip, Joaquin condescendingly accused Larry (aka Lawrence Sher) of constantly whispering during takes, and nicknaming a diva-ish Joaquin “Cher.” If you watched that video and felt like it was written, directed, and produced by a company called Viral Celebrity Tantrums Inc., you’d be correct. Larry spilled the beans to Business Insider, saying it was a prank.
