Deadline reports that Kathryn Hahn will appear in Knives Out 2. She’ll join new cast members Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, and Janelle Monae. Damn, it’s like they’re picking these names out of a bag of random Hollywood actors. Who’s next? Haley Joel Osment? Lucy Liu? The bear from The Revenant? This ragtag group of newbies will join Daniel Craig, who’s getting big bucks to reprise his role as the southern detective who kinda sounds like Kevin Spacey in House of Cards. Oo, this just in! Daniel Craig Could Be Making $100 Million For The “Knives Out” Sequels

Because pretty much everybody loved Knives Out, Netflix decided to cut a big fat check to Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman for two sequels. It’s been reported that Netflix has agreed to fork over at least $400 million for the Knives Out sequels, with some people estimating the final amount will actually be closer to $450 million. Well, for those at home who have been known to get excited about accounting and numbers, here’s another one: $100 million of Netflix’s offer is allegedly going towards Daniel Craig’s salary.

Netflix Is Paying At Least $400 Million For Two “Knives Out” Sequels Starring Daniel Craig

The first Knives Out movie was released in November 2019, and it has grossed more than $311 million worldwide on an initial budget of $40 million, which is the exact opposite of Cats. When a movie cranks out that much surprise moolah for the people at the top, a sequel follows, of course. But surprise surprise! There will be at least two sequels, and there was a bidding war between Netflix, Amazon, and Apple over Knives And Forks Out and Knives, Forks, And Spoons Out (working titles). Deadline says that Netflix won the bidding war by agreeing to pay at least $400 million for both sequels. $399 million of which is going to the true star of the film: Chris Evanssweater.

Daniel Craig Gets His Southern Drawl On In The Trailer For “Knives Out”

I doubt the film world will ever again reach the glorious heights achieved by the cinematic masterpiece that is Clue. And that was based on a board game! But a new star-studded murder mystery movie called Knives Out looks like it might, at the very least, be a fun diversion based on Daniel Craig’s sweet tea infused Tennessee Williams meets Vampire Bill accent. According to The Verge, Daniel plays Detective Benoit Blanc in the film director Rain Johnson describes as a tribute to Agatha Christie.
