Who Worked It Better?

I know it’s redundant of me to even ask, because we all know that Sue Ellen Mischke from Seinfeld has, is, and forever will always work the bra-under-a-blazer look the best. But Amber Rose is coming in a very close second. We all know that Amber Rose has a habit of bringing ten tons of jaw-dropping eleganza to the MTV VMAs. Sometimes she goes straight-up stripper, other times she keeps it a little more demure. This year she went tasteful and sophisticated with just a hint of “Oh, these?

I didn’t think I’d ever type the words “Amber Rose wore a pantsuit,” but here we are. Amber Rose wore a pantsuit to the MTV VMAs last night. Not a crotchless pantsuit. Not a pantsuit made out of latex and trimmed with penis-shaped buttons. A regular ol’ black pantsuit. She did keep it Amber by forgoing a dress shirt or blouse and just wearing a bra. But still, it’s not even that slutty of a bra – that’s a full cup/medium support bra. But even though it’s not a complete Xerox of Sue Ellen Mischke, I think we can all appreciate that she decided to mix up the look with a black bra. It’s the day-to-night update many busy shirt-allergic professionals can appreciate. Good job on thinking out-of-the-box bra, Amber.

If there was any night for Amber to pull out the stops and go full-Amber, like showing up in a see-through body stocking with a booty examination emoji over her crotch, last night would have been it. As Michael said earlier today while talking about Laura Perlongo’s third-trimester tits, nobody really dropped that much tackiness on the white carpet. However, Nicki Minaj tried with a dress that appears to have been made out of several 5 for $25 Victoria’s Secret thongs.

That’s definitely the face of a person wondering “Um, these were washed first, right?” Here’s more from the MTV VMA white carpet last night. Honorable tacky mentions go to Cassie, who much like Laura also wore a jacket with no shirt underneath.
