Louis CK Won A Grammy For Best Comedy Album
Louis CK’s comedy album, Sincerely Louis CK was recorded back in 2019, two years after The New York Times added further credibility to several long-standing allegations published over the years by Gawker, in which several women accused Louis CK of various non-consensual dick-yanking acts of misconduct, like masturbating in front of unwilling female comedians in hotel rooms. The stand-up special was released in April 2020. Reviews ranged from praise, to a little heavy on the self-pity. But clearly, the voters of the Recording Academy thought it was the best of the year or at least the best among the six albums nominated this year. Louis CK’s Sincerely Louis CK was up against stand-up comedy albums by Nate Bargatze, Lavell Crawford, Chelsea Handler, Lewis Black, and Kevin Hart. And last night, Louis CK took home his third Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album. This is the album where he cracks jokes about the allegations against him and now it’s a Grammy-winning comedy album. Because you know, “cancel culture “exists.
Mel Gibson Quits An Interview When Asked About The Oscars Slap
The Slap delivered by Will Smith to Chris Rock’s face at this year’s Oscars continues to be the #1 question that every reporter asks nearly every famous or famous-ish type person. Chris Rock himself hasn’t said much, and Will Smith continues to do damage control including resigning from The Academy while waiting for them to deliver their punishment to him. And just when you thought that there wasn’t another celebrity left who hasn’t publicly talked about this, Mel Gibson was asked. Yep, we’ve gotten to that stage of this moment. We’re asking MEL GIBSON, a man known for his very balanced views and actions, for his take on this mess.
Will Smith Resigns From The Academy
The slap heard around the world has been on our collective minds for what seems like forever. Everyone has gotten involved from Amy “I’m Traumatized” Schumer to Diddy (?). But you know who will no longer be involved in this mess? Will Smith! 2022’s Best Actor Oscar winner has officially resigned from the Academy.
The Producer Of The Oscars Says That The LAPD Was Prepared To Arrest Will Smith After The Slap, But Chris Rock Declined To Press Charges
Well here’s a new, even more dramatic layer to The Slap, aka what Will Smith did to Chris Rock’s joke-telling mouth at Sunday night’s Academy Awards. According to Will Packer, producer of this year’s Oscars ceremony, the situation with Will and Chris could have turned into a special live episode of Law & Order: Celebrity Crime Unit. Will Packer says that after Will hit Chris in the face, the LAPD was ready to do some slapping of their own. Slapping handcuffs on Will Smith, that is. But an extra-messy police altercation was avoided, allegedly because of Chris Rock deciding he didn’t want to go down that road.
Chris Rock Says He’s Still Processing Getting Slapped By Will Smith At The Oscars
2022’s hottest new miniseries The Slappening!, starring Will Smith, his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith and Chris Rock, is still going on with more plot twists than an episode of Cobra Kai. And the hits just keep on coming! (sorry y’all, I had to). After the Smith’s bargain bin apology, now it’s being revealed that after the incident Jada was allegedly laughing and Will may or may not have been asked to leave. Meanwhile, in Boston, Chris has finally emerged to sort of address the situation.
Amy Schumer Says She’s Still “Triggered And Traumatized” From The Oscars Slap
We’re currently on Day 4 of Slaptoberfest (I don’t know if we’ve given it a nickname yet, but my vote is for that, or Sunday, Slappy Sunday, if it’s not too clumsy). We’ve had multiple updates about how Will Smith is doing after he, to quote Chris Rock himself, slapped the shit out of Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars on Sunday night. Will Smith is apologetic, while Will’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith is informed everyone that she’s currently in a “season for healing.” Almost everyone seems to have an opinion on The Slap, whether they were present in the audience or not. Now we’re hearing from 2022 Oscars co-host Amy Schumer, who is still shaken up by the whole thing.
