Selena Gomez Will Produce A “Working Girl” Reboot For Hulu
Since Hollywood is currently rebooting and ruining everything they can get their greedy hands on it’s now time for them to destroy 1988’s Oscar-nominated masterpiece Working Girl. If you recall, despite its title, Working Girl was not a movie about a hooker with a heart of gold but instead a tale of a young woman from modest beginnings, portrayed by Melanie Griffith, who is a glamorous secretary and becomes a boss bitch by the end of the film. In preparation for the upcoming project, Selena Gomez has signed on as a producer and it’s not clear if she’s planning to star in or not. Well since Hulu is in bed with the Kardashians now, at least we can be grateful that they didn’t turn Working Girl into a reboot called Get Your Fucking Ass Up and Work, Girl starring Kim Kardashian. I shouldn’t give them any ideas.
Selena Gomez Is Executive Producing A Comedy Series Based On “16 Candles”
16 Candles is one of those movies I loved as a kid but is nearly unwatchable today. So I’m not particularly pressed that Selena Gomez is going to turn it into a half-hour single-camera comedy series for Peacock. Deadline reports that Selena will executive produce 15 Candles, which will be a “reconfiguration of the world” of John Hughes’ original. I don’t know if that means it’s going to be set in a different town, or if we’re finally going to get to see what things look like on the other side of the tracks in Shermer, Illinois. And I mean the OTHER OTHER side where all the non-exchange student minorities live, not where Molly Ringwald lived in Pretty in Pink.
No, Pete Davidson Is Not Hosting The Oscars, But The “Only Murders In The Building” Trio Are Being Considered
The Oscars are scheduled to go down on March 22 (the nominations will be announced on February 8), and after going three years without a host, they have decided that this year’s ceremony will have one. The Academy “hypothetically” asked the people for their hosting ideas (the only correct answers being Charo & Dolly and Statler & Waldorf obviously), but there was a rumor that they were thinking of giving Pete Davidson the hosting job to bring in the youth. Judging by last year’s dried turd ratings, which were lower than my willpower in front of a box of See’s Candies, those tricks should focus on getting ANYBODY to watch.
But Pimp Mama Kris is not going to skyrocket into the universe after busting a geyser of excitement from seeing her #2 Koven member sitting in the front row at the Oscars between Nicole Kidman and Denzel Washington, because although Pete was briefly considered, he isn’t going to get the gig. And Variety says that the Oscars people have gone from Only Desperation In The Building by considering Pete to putting the stars of Only Murders In The Building, Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short, at the top of their wish list.

29-year-old Selena Gomez got a kidney transplant from friend, Francia Raisa, back in 2017 as part of her long-term battle with Lupus, and for some reason, people loved to joke about it. It’s been some time since her surgery and she’s fully recovered, but that didn’t stop one troll in her TikTok comments section from telling her how much alcohol she’s medically allowed to drink. Selena Gomez, her mother Mandy Teefey, and businessperson Danielle Pierson covered the latest issue of Entrepreneur magazine to announce their new mental health foundation, Wondermind. That’s nice, right? Well, for 45-year-old Mandy, things got kinda shitty on social media when the cover was released. She immediately received DMs shaming her for her recent weight gain. Mandy posted a screenshot of one DM that was “a polite offer instead of the name calling,” and wrote that the reason her body has changed is because she almost died from double pneumonia. Today in, “Yeah, I Guess I Could See It, But Also… Do We Care?”, Chris Evans and Selena Gomez might be a thing. At least according to their fans, who believe they’ve busted this celebrity couple conspiracy wide open. Their first piece of evidence is that 29-year-old Selena and 40-year-old were photographed leaving the same L.A. studio, at different times, on October 1. A few days later, fans deduced they were at the same restaurant based on the background of paparazzi shots. The third piece of evidence is that Selena and Chris recently followed each other on Instagram. Now, let’s go all the way back in time to 2015, when Selena went on Watch What Happens Live and told Andy Cohen that her celebrity crush was Chris Evans, and he was “very cute.” That last one doesn’t prove shit, cuz if 2015 celebrity crushes were proof we were dating that celeb, I’d be fucking Chris Messina from The Mindy Project.
