Some People Think Selena Gomez And Chris Evans Are Dating

Today in, “Yeah, I Guess I Could See It, But Also… Do We Care?”, Chris Evans and Selena Gomez might be a thing. At least according to their fans, who believe they’ve busted this celebrity couple conspiracy wide open. Their first piece of evidence is that 29-year-old Selena and 40-year-old were photographed leaving the same L.A. studio, at different times, on October 1. A few days later, fans deduced they were at the same restaurant based on the background of paparazzi shots. The third piece of evidence is that Selena and Chris recently followed each other on Instagram. Now, let’s go all the way back in time to 2015, when Selena went on Watch What Happens Live and told Andy Cohen that her celebrity crush was Chris Evans, and he was “very cute.” That last one doesn’t prove shit, cuz if 2015 celebrity crushes were proof we were dating that celeb, I’d be fucking Chris Messina from The Mindy Project. And, sadly, I am not fucking Chris Messina from The Mindy Project.

The fan romance speculation has since gone viral, but so far, no actual confirmation that Chromez is a real thing. Hey, maybe they’re just platonic buddies. Or they’re starring in a movie together. Or they’re both getting extra sloppy leaving their Illuminati meetings.

Earlier this year, Selena told The Los Angeles Times that she was single after fans speculated she was dating her Only Murders in the Building co-star Aaron Dominguez. She said she was “grateful that I’m not involved with anyone right now.” Um, yeah, I would be too if my dating history was mostly Justin Bieber. As for Chris, he dated a since-married Jenny Slate from 2016 to 2018. Last summer he was linked to Lily James, and this April, Lizzo dragged his ass into the news when she drunkenly DM-ed him and shared it to TikTok.

Whatever Chris and Selena are, it’s very attractive, expected, and so, so boring. Wake me up when Chris Evans fucks Chris Messina.
