RuPaul’s Social Media Absence Might Be Due To Feeling “Overwhelmed” At The Current Situation

August 11, 2020 / Posted by:

For more than a month now, if you have wanted to get your RuPaul fix, you’ve basically been stuck with his 0.6 second pre-taped video messages on Canada’s Drag Race, or throwing up the music video for “Peanut Butter” on YouTube. Because Ru has been notably absent from social media. Ru stayed quiet on social media about the Black Lives Matter movement and police brutality protests. No one really knew why Ru disappeared from social media and wiped everything clean. But sources have been talking to Page Six, and those sources say it’s because Ru didn’t want to say the wrong thing and get read to filth for it.

RuPaul Has Sashayed Away From Twitter And Instagram And Nobody Knows Why

July 3, 2020 / Posted by:

I don’t know about your morning routine during pandemic end-times, but here’s mine: I get up, pee, feed the cat, make myself a cup of coffee, sit in my comfy chair, and immediately visit RuPaul’s social media accounts. So imagine my great disappointment when I saw that RuPaul inexplicably deleted every single post from both Instagram and Twitter. This mysterious move comes after a few months of social media silence. Silence that extended to the Black Lives Matter movement.

The question is: Why? Was RuPaul hacked? Was he fracked? Was it to escape online criticism? Or was it to usher in a new album or big project (like when media mastermind Lindsay Lohan deleted all her posts before dropping her hit single, Back To Me)? The plot thickened when Season 10 queen Kameron Michaels also deleted their Instagram posts. Are these two in cahoots, or is it completely unrelated? A drag mystery is afoot, people! Somebody call Detective La Toya!

The Winner Of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Has Been Crowned

May 30, 2020 / Posted by:

Fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race have put up with a lot during season 12––and I’m not just talking about THAT one queen who nearly ruined everything by serving rotted, stanky CATfish and got her ass edited out of the show. There was also that mostly sloppy Snatch Game that got some people hot and bothered––oh, and then there was Chaka Kahn not knowing what a merkin (or, frankly, what Drag Race) is. Well it’s all over now, and RuPaul has chosen our next queen––just in time for the premiere of Season 5 of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars on June 5th (oh please, what else are you gonna watch during quarantine?)

The “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 12 Finale Will Be Virtual Reality TV

May 15, 2020 / Posted by:

I’m sure that when the RuPaul’s Drag Race season 12 queens signed up to have all their business broadcast on VH1 they didn’t think that would include having to scan their apartments for dirty underwear and drug paraphernalia in preparation for the finale, yet here we are. According to Deadline, the live finale, which will air on May 29, will be a “virtual slumber party” using “innovative technology that highlights the creativity of the queens.” I guess that means we’re finally going to get to see what’s really Heidi N their closet. There better not be any Sherry Pie hiding in there!

The Cast Of Season 5 Of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” Has Been Ruvealed

May 8, 2020 / Posted by:

RuPaul Charles is many things: drag queen, actor, producer, podcaster, rancher, fracker, singer, activist (most of the time), and, above all else, hustler. That’s why there are roughly twelve-thousand RuPaul’s Drag Race projects in the works at all times. This means that even a longtime Drag Race fan like myself is getting fatigued. I haven’t bothered with Secret Celebrity Drag Race, because I spied only one real celebrity (Vanessa Williams), and the weed I’m currently smoking isn’t strong enough to make that shit interesting. But I definitely perked up today when VH1 ruvealed the cast and release date (June 5) for All Stars 5. Yes, the names were leaked months ago, but my brain forgot, so it was like brand new information. And even at its worst, an All Stars season is pretty damn entertaining. I mean, they’re All Stars, for chrissake. They’re a cut above regular season riff-raff.

Open Post: Hosted By The Trailer For “RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race”

April 13, 2020 / Posted by:

Because there’s never enough Drag Race content (another season of All-Stars, a second season of British version, the upcoming Canadian series, and, of course, the current twelfth season), VH1 has dropped the trailer for Rupaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race. The four-part special event, which was announced last fall, will premiere Friday, April 24th, right after an episode of Drag Race: Classic ft. the Messily Edited Out Predator Sherry Pie. The show will feature queens giving drag makeovers to A-list (HA!) celebs.
