Bravo Reveals “Real Housewives Of New York: Legacy” Cast And Dropped The Trailer For The “RHONY” Reboot
Ever since Andy Cohen revealed Bravo’s two-part strategy plan for a Real Housewives Of New York legacy show and reboot, purveyors of train wrecks have been waiting for show updates longer than we’ve been waiting for Sonja Morgan’s toaster oven to hit the market! Now a year later, Bravo has finally released which RHONY messes are coming back to our screen- but the twist? Our favorite (and not-so-favorite) drunken messes are reuniting for season 5 of Peacock’s Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
Bravo Is Rebooting “The Real Housewives Of New York City”
The last season of The Real Housewives of New York City was a bigger trainwreck than LuAnn DeLesseps at a gay piano bar. The ratings took a nosedive, filming during COVID effed up the vibe (there were only five series regulars), and the cast responded to the addition of Eboni K. Williams, the first Black RHONY cast member, with constant microaggressions and racism. Most of the discrimination came from original cast member Ramona Singer. The very unpleasant season didn’t even get a reunion, due to “scheduling issues” (although many thought it was Bravo protecting Ramona’s image for the then-upcoming spin-off, Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip).
The thirteenth season aired from May to September 2021. According to RHONY law, the fourteenth season should’ve begun filming this past fall. But it didn’t. In November Andy Cohen said things were “kind of on pause.” Many speculated that the show would get canceled, or, if it did return, Bravo would clean house and recast. Ramona Singer Denies Making A Racist Comment About Her “Real Housewives Of New York City” Castmate Eboni K. Williams
Ramona Singer. In case you don’t know her (and congratulations for making it this far), she’s a forever cast member on The Real Housewives of New York City. She’s also the fucking worst. Last season Eboni K. Williams joined the show as the first Black cast member, and for the first time ever, the RHONY end-of-season reunion was cancelled. While Bravo initially blamed the cancellation on scheduling conflicts, it was later reported that it had to do with an investigation into Ramona’s alleged racist behavior. Now Page Six is reporting the alleged comment that launched the investigation. During a fight at lunch, LuAnn de Lesseps kicked Eboni out of her Hamptons home, to which, Ramona allegedly said, “This is why we shouldn’t have Black people on the show.” Ramona immediately denied it, but… like… shetotallysaidit(allegedly)…

Andy Cohen’s coronavirus fever dream is filming in Turks and Caicos as we speak, and yesterday Bravo officially revealed the cast. It will star Ramona Singer and LuAnn DeLesseps from New York, Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey from Atlanta, Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga from New Jersey, and one lone Kyle Richards from Beverly Hills. What? No Erika Jayne? Hmmm, maybe authorities advised her not to leave the country…
