Bravo Reveals “Real Housewives Of New York: Legacy” Cast And Dropped The Trailer For The “RHONY” Reboot
Ever since Andy Cohen revealed Bravo’s two-part strategy plan for a Real Housewives Of New York legacy show and reboot, purveyors of train wrecks have been waiting for show updates longer than we’ve been waiting for Sonja Morgan’s toaster oven to hit the market! Now a year later, Bravo has finally released which RHONY messes are coming back to our screen- but the twist? Our favorite (and not-so-favorite) drunken messes are reuniting for season 5 of Peacock’s Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
Dorinda Medley Of “Real Housewives Of New York City” Denies Getting Kicked Out Of Luann de Lesseps’ Cabaret Show For Being A Drunken Mess
Even though being a mean drunk (and believing her late husband visits her as balloons) is pretty much her entire persona, Dorinda Medley was “put on pause” from The Real Housewives of New York City back in 2020 amid rumors that the cast and crew were tired of her drunken antics. And it seems like she might not have grown much in that area, because Page Six reported that over the weekend, Dorinda was kicked out of her RHONY castmate Luann de Lessups’ weirdly unironically successful cabaret show, Countess and Friends. Dorinda then took to Instagram Live to give a pretty unconvincing denial of getting the boot.
Two days ago my life got flipped, turned upside down when Dorinda Medley was fired from The Real Housewives of New York. Sources told Page Six she got canned because she became a “mean drunk” who refused to admit her behavior was wrong. And, sure, many of our greatest Housewives are permanently soused d-bags, but Dorinda’s journey got… dark. Like, darker than Countess Luann de Lesseps assaulting the cops in Palm Beach. So goodbye to Dorinda.
And a maybe hello to Rachel Uchitel! Apparently “NYC socialite” Rachel was on the shortlist to join RHONY last year, but producers went for Leah McSweeney instead (good call). But now that Dorinda’s been axed, Page Six’s insiders are saying there’s a “renewed effort” to get Rachel on the show.
Today I woke up to a shocking text from a dear friend that hit me like a lightning bolt: Dorinda Medley announced she’s leaving The Real Housewives of New York after six seasons. I know. You’ll always remember where you were when you heard the news. “So, the toilet?”, replied 80% of readers. Andy Cohen confirmed her exit to Page Six. The Daily Mail claims she was sacked, while Dorinda’s Instagram post is pretty vague. I’m guessing she was fired, since Real Housewives rarely leave of their own accord. Being paid six figures a year to talk shit about your “friends” and get wasted at fancy events? Come on, it’s the dream.
