Ramona Singer Denies Making A Racist Comment About Her “Real Housewives Of New York City” Castmate Eboni K. Williams

Ramona Singer. In case you don’t know her (and congratulations for making it this far), she’s a forever cast member on The Real Housewives of New York City. She’s also the fucking worst. Last season Eboni K. Williams joined the show as the first Black cast member, and for the first time ever, the RHONY end-of-season reunion was cancelled. While Bravo initially blamed the cancellation on scheduling conflicts, it was later reported that it had to do with an investigation into Ramona’s alleged racist behavior. Now Page Six is reporting the alleged comment that launched the investigation. During a fight at lunch, LuAnn de Lesseps kicked Eboni out of her Hamptons home, to which, Ramona allegedly said, “This is why we shouldn’t have Black people on the show.” Ramona immediately denied it, but… like… shetotallysaidit(allegedly)…

via Page Six:

“I never said that. It’s a terrible lie,” Singer told Page Six in a statement on Thursday. “It’s very disappointing that even after my name was cleared that people still want to slander me.”

Ramona also says she signed a confidentiality agreement and can’t “share her side of the story.” A source told Page Six that she had to undergo sensitivity training after the investigation, but another source claimed that all the Housewives have to go through those programs.

Eboni had no comment, but an insider says she filed a complaint against Ramona when she heard about the racist comment:

The network took the allegation seriously enough that it launched a third-party investigation into the complaint. Singer was ultimately cleared of any wrongdoing — though Williams was reportedly “dissatisfied” with the investigation and its findings.

For context, Ramona allegedly made the comment after a Hamptons microaggression lunch. It all began when LuAnn said that dirty talk is a sign of a lack of education. Eboni, who is a lawyer, disagreed and pointed out that she was actually the most educated person at the lunch (she’s a lawyer). Lu was all, “You’re saying you’re the smartest person here? How daaaare you?” Eboni, who never claimed she was smarter than the ladies, stood up for herself. LuAnn called Eboni “angry,” Eboni got upset and explained that you can’t call a Black woman “angry,” and then Lu kicked Eboni out of her house. And then Ramona (allegedly) made that horrible comment, although it wasn’t shown on film.

Ramona has been under fire for a while now. She’s an allleged Trumper, she didn’t take the pandemic seriously, and she’s constantly saying racist, offensive shit. For example, at a “Black Shabbat” dinner she claimed that Jewish people hated her, and she, too, was a victim of racism because a Black nurse (allegedly) refused to give her pain meds while she was in labor in ’87.

Last week Ramona commented “So true” on that whackjob video of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (Cheryl Hines’ husband!!!) comparing vaccine mandates to “Nazi territory”:

Fans think that Bravo canceled the RHONY reunion so Eboni wouldn’t have a chance to confront Ramona about her racism. The working theory is that the network is protecting Ramona so that people will watch her in the upcoming Peacock spin-off, The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. It premieres on November 18. Some think that once the spin-off is done airing, Ramona will get fired. Hmmm, maybe, but my money’s on Andy Cohen giving her a pay raise for all the free publicity.
