Open Post: Hosted By The Kittens Who Locked Their Human Out Of Her Bathroom
The Dodo says that earlier this month, writer Julee Balko couldn’t open her bathroom door. Try as she might, she couldn’t get in. So she turned on her phone’s camera and slid it under the door to see if she could figure out the problem. The picture (top right) identified the door-blockers: Julee’s new kittens, Dandelion and Bumble. Somehow, these two mischief-makers closed the door behind them and opened a cabinet drawer, which blocked the bathroom door from opening from the outside. Probably revenge for making them shit in a box. “No more toilet for you, mommy!” Continue reading
Open Post: Hosted By The Man Who Was Ambushed By A Group Of Kittens
Here’s something to brighten your day. What’s better than one kitten? An army of kittens! That’s what one man discovered when he stepped out of his car to investigate why a solitary kitten was roaming the streets for tail like it was Jon Voight in Midnight Cowboy. He got more than he bargained for when he was ambushed by 10 more! That’s how I want to go: dogpiled by a bunch of cute animals.
Open Post: Hosted By The Most Responsible Kitten In The World
Meet Binx. Binx is a 6-week-old black kitten with stunning blue eyes. The only cute-baby-duties this little guy should be concerned with is ESP (eat, sleep, play). But because he was born on the mean streets of Kansas City, Missouri, Binx also had to fight for his life… and the lives of his three orphan kittens. That’s right, Binx was discovered taking care of a trio of newborns whose birth mother was nowhere to be found. A local animal rescue group, KC Pet Project, has named Binx “the most responsible kitten in the world.” Damn, this is like when parents hire 12-year-olds to babysit their 10-year-olds. Babies babysitting babies!
Open Post: Hosted By Egg The Kitty’s Reaction To A Harness
There once was a small kitten named Egg. Egg’s humans, Samantha Hogue and her boyfriend Denny Park, lived in Bellevue, Washington. The city’s name is derived from the French term “belle vue” (“beautiful view”). Maybe that’s why Egg’s humans wanted to leash-train him, so he could strut around town and enjoy the sights, like all those lucky dogs! Unfortunately, Egg did not immediately take to his new harness. Fortunately, his reaction was filmed and got him over 280,000 fans on TikTok.
Open Post: Hosted By Midas, The Kitten With Four Ears
I hope you have your eyes and ears open for this story because it is worth all your attention! Meet Midas, a rescue kitten from Ankara, Turkey who was born with a mutation that’s given her FOUR ears. (I know a few people who could use four ears and less mouth!) After going viral on social media, Midas found her forever home with her new human Canis Dosemeci.
Open Post: Hosted By A Kitten Massaging A Hungry Corgi
Awwww, look! It’s a teeny tiny smushy-faced kitten massaging a Corgi dog while he attempts to scarf down his lunch. Hey, anything to make an extra buck in this economy! Now, is the cat working out an extra-tight knot formed due to doggy stress? Or perhaps she’s helping the corgi make room in his belly for more sustenance. Or maaaybe she’s trying to claw open his stomach so she can feast on some partially digested dog food. You decide. Continue reading
