Open Post: Hosted By A Kitten Massaging A Hungry Corgi

October 21, 2020 / Posted by:

Awwww, look! It’s a teeny tiny smushy-faced kitten massaging a Corgi dog while he attempts to scarf down his lunch. Hey, anything to make an extra buck in this economy! Now, is the cat working out an extra-tight knot formed due to doggy stress? Or perhaps she’s helping the corgi make room in his belly for more sustenance. Or maaaybe she’s trying to claw open his stomach so she can feast on some partially digested dog food. You decide.

Here’s the clip:

The kitty looks like she’s actually attempting to knead her Corgi friend. AKA: kneading dough or makin’ biscuits. If you’re unfamiliar, it’s when cats alternate pushing and pulling their front claws. Kittens do this to promote milk flow around their mother’s teat area while sucking on her nipples. Allegedly, when cats knead on humans or Corgis or even blankets, they’re saying, “I feel safe and happy here, I wuv you like you’re my mommy!” Some say it happens when kittens are taken away from their mothers too early. Others say it’s just cats marking their territory with their scent, or treading down an area to make a nest. Either way, this kitten loves this Corgi and that is beautiful.

My cat kneads on me every night in bed, all while purring wildly. Sometimes the little rascal will actually go for my nipple (accidentally, I hope), but that’s where I draw the line! Nope, these nips are reserved for ancient, ill-fitting bras, electric shock nipple clamps, and pasties with golden tassels, thank you very much.
