According to Puck News, Zendaya has re-negotiated her Euphoria contract, and for the show’s upcoming third season, she will earn “close to” one million dollars an episode. Damn, just 26 years old and already making Friends final-two seasons money! For her performance as Rue, Zendaya has won a Critic’s Choice Award, a Golden Globe, and two Lead Actress in a Drama Series Emmys. And all while working in an allegedly “hellish” work environment with shooting days that can sometimes last up to 18 hours. So, good for her! And now Zendaya can give her co-star Sydney Sweeney a little loan so that Sydney can finally take that six months off! Continue reading
Zendaya Won The Emmy For Lead Actress In A Drama Series, Making Her The Youngest Double Acting-Winner In That Category
Last night, Zendaya won the Emmy for Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her performance as Rue in the bonkers second season of Euphoria. This is the 26-year-old’s second time winning the award, which makes her the youngest evah two-time acting winner. But wait, there’s more! It’s also the first time a Black woman has won twice in that category. In her acceptance speech, Zendaya thanked her friends, family, and controversial Euphoria showrunner Sam Levinson for creating a “safe space” on set. Um, Barbie Ferriera and the actresses who felt pressured to show their boobs would like a word.
Sydney Sweeney is in hot water. No, it’s not for saying something about practically being a POOR. This time it’s because of some Instagram pictures from her mom’s 60th birthday bash. While 60-year-olds can still get down, the pictures aren’t the typical drunken party photos that starlets and Finnish prime ministers get in trouble for. The images in question feature MAGA-like hats and a Blue Lives Matter t-shirt.
It seems like every time we hear about HBO’s acclaimed saga of dongs, drugs, and dark rooms, Euphoria, it’s due to the excess of on-set drama that creator, Sam Levinson, allegedly perpetuates. A few months ago it was rumored that model/actress Barbie Ferreira, who plays Kat Hernandez on the show, wasn’t seeing sparkly lined eye-to-eye with Sam and his ideas for the direction of her character. Despite Kat having a dynamic storyline in season 1, her scenes were largely cut in season 2. And now, Barbie announced that she’s done with Euphoria for good.
Sydney Sweeney Says That She Can’t Afford To Take A Six-Month Break Because They Don’t Pay Actors Like They Used To
Actors: They’re just like us! At least according to HBO Max’s teenage angst-darling, Euphoria‘s Sydney Sweeney. Sydney tells The Hollywood Reporter that even though we all think she’s a hot high-paid actress (she is) she actually isn’t paid as much as she could be or as much as actors used to be. Sydney is getting checks from HBO (The White Lotus, Euphoria) and Sony/Marvel (Madame Web), but still, she says that she can’t afford to take a six-month break from acting. As opposed to the rest of the world–who could easily take off half a year from our day jobs to fuck around and not suffer financially.
Last week, Eric Dane said in an interview that although he’s straight, he can relate to the conflicted feelings of the awful and closeted-gay character he plays on Euphoria and that he hopes his portrayal lends a voice to members of the LGBTQ+ community who may relate. On the latest stop on his “I’m not a gay I just play one on TV” tour, Eric shared that he’s single, and despite being straight, his inbox is a smorgasbord of schwanz and dirty messages from dudes.
