Zendaya Will Reportedly Make A Million Dollars An Episode For “Euphoria” Season 3

According to Puck News, Zendaya has re-negotiated her Euphoria contract, and for the show’s upcoming third season, she will earn “close to” one million dollars an episode. Damn, just 26 years old and already making Friends final-two seasons money! For her performance as Rue, Zendaya has won a Critic’s Choice Award, a Golden Globe, and two Lead Actress in a Drama Series Emmys. And all while working in an allegedly “hellish” work environment with shooting days that can sometimes last up to 18 hours. So, good for her! And now Zendaya can give her co-star Sydney Sweeney a little loan so that Sydney can finally take that six months off!

Euphoria has become one of the biggest shows in HBO history, and Puck News says that Zendaya’s new salary makes her one of the highest-paid actors on TV. via Radar Online:

Zendaya “just closed a big re-negotiation on HBO’s Euphoria that likely puts her close to” other stars pulling in $1 million per episode. At the moment, the outlet said, other actors pulling in that amount are Chris Pratt for The Terminal List, Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren in 1923, and Jason Sudeikis on Ted Lasso.

Really? Zendaya’s out here putting her body and soul through hell to dive into the psyche of a teen drug addict, and Jason Sudeikis gets the same pay for “aw shucks”-ing his way through a 30-minute Ted Lasso episode? Ay ay ay.

According to sources, Zendaya was the one to approach HBO about adjusting her deal. Starting in season two, she also began working on the show as an executive producer. The most shocking part about this story is that the third season of Euphoria hasn’t even begun filming yet. The second season finale aired on this day one whole year ago! We learned that Barbie Ferreira left the show last August! What is happening?? Get back to that toxic workplace STAT so they can finally wrap up that “Rue owes Laurie the psycho drug dealer $10,000” storyline!
