Gwen Stefani Recently Had A Bridal Shower, But She Might Actually Already Be Married To Blake Shelton
We’ve been hearing that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are getting married for so long, that I was starting to think we’d get a new Rihanna album before that happened. But Gwen recently Instagrammed a picture of herself at her bridal shower, which would make you think the countdown is on to their wedding. The only thing is, Gwen and Blake were recently spotted out in public, and she was wearing a ring that very suspiciously looks like a wedding band.
Have you heard the news? Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are getting hitched! No, you have not bonked your head and been in a coma for the past 5 years. The year is indeed 2021 and these two still haven’t pulled the trigger. But they do continue to talk about it every time The Voice sees a drop in ratings. This time the tease is that it’s going to be a classy affair because Blake’s letting the little lady handle all the details.
Gwen Stefani really wants to marry Blake Shelton, but there is one catch to her “Yee-haw I do” dream. Gwen was married to Gavin Rossdale from 2002 to 2016. And because Gwen is Catholic and wants her marriage to Blake to be recognized by the Catholic Church, she’s been trying to get her marriage with Gavin annulled. Today Gwen is holla’ing back with gratitude at the Catholic Church, because they have granted her that annulment she wanted.
Blake Shelton is a beer-drinkin’, guitar-strummin’, ranch ownin’, truck drivin’, sexy magazine-coverin’ Okie, who also just so happens to also be a country music and reality television star. And as such, Blake Shelton has a rumored net worth of $100 million. He’s also engaged to Gwen Stefani, a woman with a rumored net worth of $150 million. Still, all those dropped Gs are part of his brand, and he released the video for his new song, called “Minimum Wage,” on New Year’s Eve. It’s a song sung by a man about his lady, who can “make a man feel rich on minimum wage.” Blake Shelton is rich and likely hasn’t seen a minimum wage paycheck since Bill Clinton was in office. To the surprise of no one, I’m sure, there has been some backlash about Blake’s broke boy cosplay.
I swear, every time I go to the store to buy cheese, carbs, and TP, there’s a whole rack of magazine covers claiming these two are secret-hitched, getting married any day now, or breaking up. But I guess Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are still just regular-engaged. And now the word is they’ll wed “early next year” in a private Oklahoma chapel. Oo la la! Hollywood glamour!
In case you missed the memo (distributed weekly via People Magazine), Blake Shelton is an old-fashioned kind of guy with old-fashioned values. According to this week’s memo, Blake did the old-fashioned thing when he proposed to his girlfriend of five years Gwen Stefani by first asking permission from the men in her life, her sons Kingston, 14, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 6. Lord knows it’s the right thing to do, and it’s the old-fashioned way to do it.
