Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Will Marry Next Year

I swear, every time I go to the store to buy cheese, carbs, and TP, there’s a whole rack of magazine covers claiming these two are secret-hitched, getting married any day now, or breaking up. But I guess Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are still just regular-engaged. And now the word is they’ll wed “early next year” in a private Oklahoma chapel. Oo la la! Hollywood glamour!
via Us Weekly:
“Blake built a chapel on the grounds of his Oklahoma ranch. He did it himself with help,” a source tells Us Weekly exclusively, noting that the No Doubt singer gave her “input” on the construction. “It’s really a tribute to their love. They are going to get married in the chapel, most likely early next year.”
He built it. Himself. Listen, in no way do I agree with 44-year-old Blake’s title of former Sexiest Man Alive, but there is something undeniably hot about your man building you the structure you’ll marry in. Except I’m not religious, so maybe my future fiancé could construct us a gazebo? Or an archway? Hell, even a crown of twigs would impress me.
Meanwhile, 51-year-old Gwen is still hoping her new marriage will be recognized by the Catholic church. Even though she’s been long-divorced from Gavin Rossdale, it’s still not Pope-official. In early 2019 Gwen applied for an official Catholic annulment, but that shit can take years. Back in January, a source said she was OK to wait for the official religious-OK to re-marry, but since then she’s become impatient. So she and Blake went ahead and set a date:
“The Vatican has also indicated, informally, that Gwen’s petition to have her marriage to Gavin annulled will also be granted,” the first source says. “It hasn’t been formally made yet, but all indications are [that] Gwen will have her Catholic wedding to Blake.”
