Gwen Stefani Wants To Annul Her First Marriage Before Marrying Blake Shelton

When you think of the Catholic Church, the image of St. Gwen Stefani, Patron Saint of Ska doesn’t exactly come to mind – but she’d like it to! In your Friday dose of random, Gwen is apparently super religious, and she wants the man upstairs to do her a solid and forget all about her marriage to Gavin Rossdale so she can be clean in the eyes of the church when she and Blake Shelton have a country-croonin’ wedding in Dogpatch or wherever it is he comes from.

Us Weekly says Gwen and Blake are serious about getting married one day, but she wants the Catholic Church to recognize their marriage. The Vatican may be fine turning a blind eye to all sorts of bad shit, but it will throw a major hissy fit if a divorced honky-tonk singer and the divorced leader of the Harajuku Girls enter into a  commitment. Thus, Gwen is already underway with the formal process of annulling her Gavin marriage:

“Gwen’s religion has always been extremely important to her, and Blake is completely supportive of this.”

Those two were also seen leaving a church one time, so that obviously means they are in it to win it with the Pope. There are still some obstacles to face, like how Blake splits time between Oklahoma and Los Angeles, where Gwen is based with her three kids she had with Gavin. Anyway, the same snitch said Blake and Gwen are “willing to wait” until this whole thing works in their favor, but I have some questions! Is the church going to forget about the three kiddos along with the marriage to Gavin? If so, does that mean there are going to be three ghost Rossdales running around? If that’s the case, can the church grant me those kind of Harry Potter powers, too??
