Gwen Stefani Recently Had A Bridal Shower, But She Might Actually Already Be Married To Blake Shelton

We’ve been hearing that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are getting married for so long, that I was starting to think we’d get a new Rihanna album before that happened. But Gwen recently Instagrammed a picture of herself at her bridal shower, which would make you think the countdown is on to their wedding. The only thing is, Gwen and Blake were recently spotted out in public, and she was wearing a ring that very suspiciously looks like a wedding band.

Gwen and Blake got engaged in October, and they planned to marry, even if his high holiness The Pope couldn’t be bothered to grant Gwen (who is Roman Catholic) an annulment on her first marriage to Gavin Rossdale (thankfully The Pope eventually came through for Gwen). Blake said that Gwen was planning the wedding, to make sure that he didn’t pull any hee haw shit. And last week, Gwen was “kidnapped” and taken to a surprise party, where she was showered with gifts. via People magazine:

On Thursday, the singer, 51, says she was “kidnapped” for a surprise bridal shower to celebrate her upcoming wedding to fiancé Blake Shelton – and there were gifts galore! “I got kidnapped by my family to celebrate,” she said in a selfie video. “I’m getting married!”

Stefani shared photos of several of her gifts, including a card “to the Bride to Be” and some pretty, pink flowers. “Feeling loved feeling blessed,” she wrote. Stefani shared a card that included “something old” – a copy of “The Mass on the Day of Marriage” of her parents, Patricia and Dennis, who got married on June 11, 1966. “Wishing you all the happiness your heart can hold… today, tomorrow, always,” the card read. “We love you so very much!”

Stefani is gearing up to tie the knot to Shelton sometime this summer after the couple got engaged back in October.

There is a chance People might have spoken too soon when they estimated that Gwen and Blake would be getting married sometime this summer. Gwen and Blake were papped out for a walk on Saturday in Santa Monica, CA with Gwen’s youngest son Apollo. And on Gwen’s left hand, tucked right under her massive engagement ring, is a diamond band that some think might be a clue that they pulled the trigger early. At the very least, we have confirmation that Gwen and Blake are that couple who coordinates outfits before they leave the house.

It’s worth pointing out, that Blake didn’t appear to have a wedding ring on his finger. But is Blake the wedding band type? The trucker hat and literal blue collar around his neck should be obvious enough, but Blake loves the whole blue-collar thing. So if Blake was truly committed, he might ask Gwen if he could skip the whole wedding band, and instead, get a platinum fishin’ lure engraved with the words: “Plenty in the Sea, But Y’all Are the One for Me.”
