Pete Davidson Has Been In Trauma Therapy To Deal With Kanye West’s Online Attacks

It’s only been a few days since we found out that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson are no longer bumping uglies, but I was naively optimistic that maybe we’d get a little break from “Kete” news. Surely there would have to be some kind of cooling-off period, right? Wrong. As it turns out, once you’ve been smiled upon by Kris Jenner, there’s no such thing as a break from being in the news. One of the enduring truths during Kim and Pete’s 9-month contract relationship was that Kim’s ex-husband, Kanye West, was not happy about Kim moving on with Pete, despite moving on himself with both Julia Fox and then Chaney Jones before running them off (most likely with his soggy turd of a personality). Throughout Kete’s relationship, Kanye acted the fool and talked shit on Pete (or “Skete” as he often referred to him) on Instagram, started a rumor that Pete has AIDS and that he’d get Kim hooked on drugs, said he was going to “beat Pete Davidson’s ass” in a song, and even made a music video where he decapitated a Claymation Pete. After Kim and Pete split, Kanye posted on Instagram and then deleted a fake New York Times announcement that said “Skete Davidson Dead at Age 28.” Pete seemed to handle it all pretty well publicly–laughing it off and even trying to make amends with Kanye; but it turns out that it must have been weighing on him behind the scenes since People reported that Pete has been receiving trauma therapy since April.

A source told People that Pete has been having a rough go of it since being subjected to Kanye’s consistent barrage of nonsense. While Kanye had been suspended from Instagram temporarily for his antics and was even axed from his Grammys performance for being a dick, he seemingly couldn’t stay quiet for long. Despite Kanye delivering a truckload of flowers to Kim’s house and promising to not hurt Pete, I’m sure dealing with this got exhausting.

Beginning in April of this year, the Saturday Night Live alum, 28, “has been in trauma therapy in large part” due to threatening posts that West, 45, has posted numerous times on social media while Davidson was dating the rapper’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

“The attention and negativity coming from Kanye and his antics is a trigger for [Pete], and he’s had to seek out help,” the insider says.

Kris “the source” wanted to be sure that everyone knows that Kim, who was also in distress over Kanye’s behavior did absolutely nothing wrong and wasn’t here for any of Kanye’s shit.

The source adds that Davidson, who recently split from Kardashian, 41, “has no regrets for dating Kim and wants it to be made very clear that she’s been nothing but supportive of him throughout their relationship.”

A source close to Kardashian also tells PEOPLE that Davidson’s involvement with trauma therapy played no role in their breakup whatsoever. “Kim does not tolerate this type of behavior from Kanye,” the source says.

Pete has been absent from social media for a while now (one reason being that Kanye kept Kanye-ing) and his and Kim’s “teams” have reached out to Instagram to attempt to make it a safer place for people to post their Disney pics with family members swapped out via Photoshop and/or their filtered asses and camel toes without fear of being harassed. 

“His team and Kim’s have reached out repeatedly to Instagram asking to make the platform a safer space,” the insider says, also noting that West’s repeated attacks are one reason why Davidson has “been absent from social media.”

Now if only Kanye would follow through on that “behavioral treatment” he was mulling over a few months ago. But what I do want to know is that now that he’s working on scrubbing Kanye’s fuckery from his brain, how’s he going to scrub the “Kim” branding, the “my girl is a lawyer” tattoo, and all of his ex-girl’s kids’ initials from his body before moving on to his next unanticipated conquest?
