Kim Kardashian Begs The Court To Declare Her Single As Kanye West’s Social Media Barrages Continue To Cause Her “Emotional Distress”
TMZ says that Kim Kardashian is asking the court to take some action in an effort to move on from her marriage with Kanye West. The estranged couple is in the middle of a divorce and both are dating other people, with Kim dating Pete Davidson since around last Halloween, and Kanye being seen with other women, including his one-time STUNT QUEEN partner Julia Fox. But Kanye is really intent on getting Kim back and objected to a previous divorce petition of Kim’s and now she has to take things a step further and is again asking the court to declare her single, claiming Kanye’s constant social media attacks on her are causing “emotional distress.”
Kim and Kanye share four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, and Kim just wants to keep their relationship cordial and co-parent as easily as possible, but she’s having a hard time with Kanye on social media roasting her day in and day out while also begging for her back. Previously, Kanye filed documents to block Kim from being declared single unless she agreed to some stipulations, via TMZ:
Kanye’s lawyer says he wants 3 conditions, all of which his lawyer claims Kim has rejected.
1. If either of them dies, he wants to make sure any money that might be owing to either gets reimbursed. 2. Kanye wants to block Kim from transferring assets out of any trust they created.
3. He wants Kim to waive their marital privilege pending a final custody decision. This is interesting … he wants to ensure any communications between the 2 of them can be part of the court record. He also wants to make sure, if Kim remarries, she would waive any spousal privilege between her and her new husband … in other words, he wants to make sure any conversations between her and a new husband, as it relates to custody, would be fair game in court.
Kim has retaliated in new court documents, saying that she really wants to be divorced:
She tells the judge she’s asked Kanye to keep their divorce private, “but he has not done so,” and talks about Kanye’s barrage of social media posts about their relationship.
Kim says, “Kanye has been putting a lot of misinformation regarding our private matters and co-parenting on social media which has created emotional distress.”
…”While I wish our marriage would have succeeded, I have come to the realization that there is no way to repair our marriage. Kanye does not agree but at least it appears that he has come to the realization that I want to end our marriage, even if he does not.”
She adds that she needs to be single, so “I can begin the healing process and so that our family can begin the healing process and move forward in this new chapter in our lives.”
Kim also slaps at Kanye’s desire to prevent Kim from transferring assets out of any trusts during the divorce as they have a prenup which his lawyers already recognize as valid. And, Kim mentions that even Kanye’s lawyers agree that they have “trouble getting through to him.”
In October 2021 they wrote to Kim’s attorney about trying to break down the prenup for Ye, saying …”But as you also know, we face challenges in communicating with our client–and the validity of the prenup (with all of its related legal implications) is a heavy issue to broach.”
I think Kim has plenty of evidence to support how Kanye is really having a hard time letting go. Beyond all his harassing social media posts, he’s also been seen with Kim look-a-like Chaney Jones. They recently had lunch in Miami together:

Kanye shouldn’t be saddened by Kim’s desire to be legally single. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are both legally single and that doesn’t stop them from continuing to be at each other’s throats during the rest of their divorce proceedings. So it won’t be the end, but a new beginning!
