Kim Kardashian Is Getting DRAGGED By WGA Members After Tweeting About Being On Set During The Writers’ Strike

As the WGA strike rages on, most people are riding in support of their demands for better living wages in the age of digital streaming. And although this is a move in the right direction towards justice and fair play, don’t tell that to Kim Kardashian. She may play a wannabe lawyer on TV, but in reality, she’s as clueless as the jury member who slept through the entire case. Because had she looked up the definition of the word STRIKE, she would realize crossing the picket lines is a bad thing. But since she also aspires to become the next Meryl Streep, she has been “acting” for a while. And during a day on set, she tweeted out a simple question. And even though she’s not a Writers Guild of America member, striking writers still took an opportunity to break out their word swords to cut her deeply during their hiatus of collecting checks for their skills and wit.
Warner Bros. CEO David Zaslav Got Booed By Boston University Graduates Amid Writers’ Strike

Last week, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav gave a commencement speech at Boston University and wished their 2023 graduates the best of luck. Now, David graduated from Boston University, so he probably thought he was going to get embraced with a bunch of “welcome backs,” but instead, he got hit with a wave of BOOS. In the wake of the ongoing writers’ strike over ongoing labor disputes between Hollywood’s writers vs. big studios and streamers (i.e. Disney, Netflix, Warner Bros.), Boston University’s class of 2023 put the BU alum on blast during his speech by collectively chanting, “pay your writers!” While they were at it, they should’ve followed up with, “And fuck you for trying to make ‘Max‘ happen!“
Open Post: Hosted By Jennifer Coolidge Shouting Out The Striking Writers At The MTV Movie & TV Awards

Even though Drew Barrymore dropped out of hosting last night’s MTV Movie & TV Awards in solidarity with the WGA writers’ strike, the show went on (in a pre-recorded virtual ceremony)! And what it lacked in host, it more than made up for in remote acceptance speeches from Jennifer Coolidge. She picked up two golden popcorn awards: the Comedic Genius Award and Most Frightened Performance (such an important honor) for The White Lotus. At the end of her first acceptance speech, Jennifer voiced her support for the striking writers and proved that her kooky bimbo persona is just an act by quoting Shakespeare.
Drew Barrymore Backs Out From Hosting The MTV Movie & TV Awards In Solidarity With The Writers’ Strike

Two things: the MTV Movie & TV Awards still happen. And Drew Barrymore was set to host the 30th (!!!) MTV Movie & TV Awards this Sunday, but not anymore. Drew has dropped out last minute in support of the Writers Guild of America’s strike. A win for Hollywood writers everywhere! But a loss for people hoping to see Drew Barrymore kick off her shoes and get cross-legged comfy on a couch before cozying up to the popcorn award to get deep.
A “Tonight Show” Staffer Blasts Jimmy Fallon For Blowing Off A Pay Meeting Amid The Writers’ Strike

The Writers Guild of America is officially on strike after negotiations to combat low wages and other issues fell through with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, which represents Hollywood’s major studios and streaming services who are basically wiping their asses with the money they make from the stories that came from writers. And in the war between the writers and big studios, the host of The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon, has been called out by one of his staffers for teetering the picket line between WGA and AMPTP like a high-wire.
