Giggy Vanderpump Has Died
Listen, shitting on 2020 has been done to death. We get it, it’s been a rough one. But the blows just keep coming! Over the weekend, it was the tragic news that Gigolo “Giggy” Vanderpump, the real star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, passed away. He was approximately ten years old. My religion is Real Housewives, so this one hit hard. Giggy’s owner, Lisa Vanderpump announced the little Pomeranian’s death on her Instagram, and shared that she and husband Ken Todd were “devastated”.
Open Post: Hosted By Alex Trebek Cursing Up A Blue Streak
The dearly departed Alex Trebek kept it tight right up to the end, both physically and professionally. For three decades, anyone looking for a stern, erudite zaddy to keep them on task need only to tune into Jeopardy!, available five days a week, to get their fix. That is until… Thankfully, we still have the Jeopardy! archives filled with thousands of hours of Alex being his classy, bougie, moody, sassy, and in some instances, savage self. One particular nugget from archives that’s making the rounds features Alex at his spiciest. HuffPost says the clip is a montage of outtakes featuring “footage of Trebek swearing while filming promos for a telephone version of the game show,” which you can tell he thinks is beneath him. But I’m like, a hotline where I can call 1980s Alex on the phone and have him curse my ass out? I know you can’t see me but I am POUNDING my button so hard right now, you don’t even know.
Sean Connery Has Died At 90
Over the weekend, the ghosts of Roger Moore and David Niven (come on, he counts) shook a cold vodka martini and pulled up a chair at the table of Bonds who have passed. Because we learned that on Saturday, October 31st, Sean Connery, legend of film and the first James Bond to ever appear on screen, died at the age of 90.
Helen Reddy Has Died At 78
2020 keeps throwing us curveball after curveball. For example, we’ve already had one iconic champion of women’s rights leave us this month. But the universe decided to make it two. Yesterday it was reported that Helen Reddy, singer of the 1079’s feminist anthem, “I Am Woman,” has died.
Lady Red Couture, Legendary Drag Queen, Has Died
It’s been a hell of a weekend for losses––and the sadness just keeps coming. Another legend has sashayed away up to that giant runway in the sky. Yesterday, Lady Red Couture, legendary queen and co-host of the YouTube drag-themed chat show, “Hey Qween”, died. She was only 43.
Kelly Preston Has Died At 57 From Breast Cancer
This is an entirely too sad way to kick off a Monday. And I’m sure I’m not the only one who did a double-take on this news, to make sure my eyes were reading the right name. People magazine is reporting this morning that Kelly Preston died yesterday at the age of 57, after a private two-year battle against breast cancer.
