Variety has confirmed that Cloris died of natural causes on Tuesday at the age of 94.

There are all kinds of deaths, from ones you expect, like when a person starts inching close to 100, and unexpected deaths, which shock you in a bad way. And then there are the ones that have everyone collectively saying, “That’s WAY too young,” which is likely what most people thought when they learned that New York socialite, model, and Stephanie Seymour’s son Harry Brant had died from an accidental overdose.

Alex’s swan song ep opened with a video tribute montage set to Hugh Jackman singing “Once Before I Go”. It featured clips of the host goofing around, wearing wacky costumes, bringing his kids to set, dancing, then claiming, “I don’t dance”, hosting without pants (at the 0:39 mark, Mom!), sassing contestants, one child contestant sassing his ass right back, and footage of his trademark mustache. The whole thing gave me eye wetness.

This news is sad for everyone, especially the people who swear the original 1970’s Broadway production of Chicago is the only Chicago that matters. Variety reports that Ann Reinking, dancer, choreographer, actor, and Tony winner, has died unexpectedly at the age of 71.
