Rebel Wilson’s Team Thought Losing Weight Might Mess With Her Career
Last January, Rebel Wilson declared 2020 “The Year of Health.” Unfortunately for us, 2020 thought she said “The Year from Hell.” Goddammit, Rebel, next time please enunciate. But a pesky lil’ pandemic didn’t stop the 41-year-old from pursuing her fitness and healthy eating goals. She went full Adele, and lost almost 80 pounds. In a recent BBC interview Rebel talks about how her Hollywood team wasn’t supportive of her health journey, since she was making them money being the “funny fat girl.” So if you hear of any agents or managers being forced to sell their second home in Aspen or brand new Maserati… it’s because Rebel Wilson lost weight. Tragedy.
Jonah Hill Asks Fans To Please Not Comment On His Body
Like Kumail Nanjiani before him, Jonah Hill is letting the people know that he’s done with hearing opinions about his body. Jonah took to Instagram to kindly ask his fans to stop commenting, even if they mean well. He writes that these comments about his body, “good or bad,” are not helpful and they don’t make him feel good.
Kumail Nanjiani Says He’s Suffered Body Dysmorphia After Getting Buff For “The Eternals”
In late 2019 Kumail Nanjiani was the cause of millions of jaw drops (ow!) when he totally transformed his body for his role as Kingo in The Eternals. Dude got so muscly he temporarily became the face of PornHub’s “Muscular Men” category. A few months later, Kumail modeled for the cover of Men’s Health, and admitted getting buff had given him body dysmorphia. By the end of 2020 he experienced major backlash after posting a super-buff Christmas dinner pic to Instagram. Social media users made fun of his muscles, jawline, and accused him of abusing steroids.
In a new interview with Vulture, Kumail says the critical tweets affirmed all his insecurities and didn’t help his body dysmorphia. He says that no matter how muscly he got, nothing was ever good enough. His ideal shape? Arnold Schwarzenegger from Pumping Iron. Oh boy. Maybe he should’ve kept things realistic and gone with Johnny Bravo.
Will Smith Says He’s In The Worst Shape Of His Life
Will Smith is a big-time celebrity, but guess what? He’s just like us (kinda)! 52-year-old Will’s once athletic physique has also been transformed by this never-ending pandemic. Gone is Willard’s bulging six-pack, replaced by a lil’ pooch that screams, “I spent the last fourteen months licking Nutella off a spoon while watching my stories.” Will showed off his new bod on Instagram by posting a shirtless pic of himself (doing Shakespeare in the Park?), and captioning it, “I’m gonna be real wit yall – I’m in the worst shape of my life.” Continue reading
People Still Have Opinions About Kumail Nanjiani’s Buff Body
Last year Kumail Nanjiani bulked up to prepare for his role as Kingo in Marvel’s upcoming film Eternals. He showed off his jacked bod on the socials, was briefly the face of PornHub’s “Muscular Men” category, and graced the cover of Men’s Health. He also talked about how his transformation triggered body dysmorphia. Well, if Kumail was struggling with body issues then, his last few days must’ve been hell, cuz the Internet attacked him the moment he posted the above picture to Instagram. Twitterers made fun of his muscles and jawline and accused him of abusing steroids.
