Jonah Hill Asks Fans To Please Not Comment On His Body
Like Kumail Nanjiani before him, Jonah Hill is letting the people know that he’s done with hearing opinions about his body. Jonah took to Instagram to kindly ask his fans to stop commenting, even if they mean well. He writes that these comments about his body, “good or bad,” are not helpful and they don’t make him feel good.

Like many of us, Jonah’s weight has fluctuated over the years. He slimmed down to appear in 2011’s Moneyball, gained 40 pounds for 2015’s War Dogs, then took it off by eating better and exercising with a trainer. During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jonah explained that everybody has a version or idea of themselves that never really goes away, no matter how rich and famous they get. He said, via Us Weekly:
So, for me, it’s definitely being, like, this 14-year-old kid, being overweight, wanting to fit in with these skaters and hip-hop kids and just feeling lonely and maybe not understanding my own worth.
Back in February Jonah shared a screenshot of a Daily Mail article featuring a shirtless paparazzi pic. He captioned it:
I don’t think I ever took my shirt off in a pool until I was in my mid 30s even in front of family and friends. Probably would have happened sooner if my childhood insecurities weren’t exacerbated by years of public mockery about my body by press and interviewers. So the idea that the media tries to play me by stalking me while surfing and printing photos like this and it can’t phase me anymore is dope. I’m 37 and finally love and accept myself. This isn’t a “good for me” post . And it’s definitely not a “feel bad for me post”. It’s for the the kids who don’t take their shirt off at the pool. Have fun. You’re wonderful and awesome and perfect. All my love.
