Blake Lively Won’t Be At Monday’s Met Gala, But Paris Hilton, Brooklyn Beckham, And Nicola Peltz Will

The Met Gala is this coming Monday (first Monday in May… checks out), and Hollywood’s pretty, privileged, and plastic are rarin’ to show off their high fashun lewks, inspired by Karl Lagerfeld. But don’t expect Met Gala mainstay Blake Lively. She told People she wouldn’t be attending this year. But don’t worry, the nepo-babies will more than make up for her absence. In addition to Kim Kardashian, who already confirmed, that she’ll be there, Paris Hilton, Brooklyn Beckham, and Nicola Peltz-Beckham have all announced they’ll be there too.

Blake may not be going to the Met Gala, but she went to last night’s grand re-opening of the Tiffany & Co. Fifth Avenue in NYC. That’s where she told reporters they wouldn’t be seeing her on Monday:

“You will not,” Lively, 35, told reporters including PEOPLE when asked on the red carpet whether fans would see her at the annual biggest night in fashion. “But I will be watching.” After being complimented the star on her 2022 ensemble, she said, “Thank you, that’s very sweet. I’ll be wearing that on my couch on Monday.”

Blake’s 2022 look was the Statue of Liberty dress, as seen in the header pic. People loved that shit because it had a fancy reveal, going from old copper Liberty to modern-day green Liberty halfway down the red carpet.

Speaking of headline-grabbing Met Gala looks from 2022; we are legally obligated to mention Kim Kardashian. Kim teased her Met Gala appearance on Instagram, writing that she was spending some time at Karl Lagerfeld’s office to get some inspiration for her ensemble. And look who she’s hanging out with: little orphan Choupette Lagerfeld!

As you can see, Choupette inherited the unimpressed “This bitch?” look from her late father, Karl. But can you really blame her? Pussy just appeared in Vogue with Naomi Campbell; now she’s being carted out to pose for an Instagram with a reality star? I hope they paid her in gold-flaked Temptations for her precious time. Now, let her get back to her nap, bitch is 64 in cat years!

Kim won’t be the only socialite walking the red carpet Monday. TMZ reports that Paris Hilton will be going for the very first time. Their sources say Paris got the invite from Vogue and the designer of her look, and “luckily, she was available to go.” Whew, close one! What if she’d been busy DJing or not voting? Insiders add that nobody knows why Paris wasn’t invited in the past (snort), but “Paris is over the moon about the invite!”

Aaaand then there were the Beckhams. People ~exclusively~ reports that Nicola Peltz-Beckham and her “chef” husband, Brooklyn Beckham, were also at that Tiffany’s event in New York last night and confirmed that they’d make their third appearance at the Met. People asked them what they planned to wear, and this was their response:

“Classic,” Brooklyn, 24, simply describes of the style concepts the two have up their sleeves.

“We’re very excited to go,” adds Nicola, 28. “I’m so excited about the theme because it’s amazing to honor such an icon,” she said, referencing the late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, to whom this year’s theme, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” is dedicated.

Nicola probably thinks Karl would have loved her; she’s rich, white, thin, and worships at the altar of everything snobby. Unfortunately for the billion heiress, the “icon” was friends with Victoria Beckham, who hates her new daughter-in-law with the power of a thousand suns. So methinks Karl’s ghost will do his beloved Posh a favor and curse Nicola with (dun dun dunnn) on-the-day bloating! Evil is evil, dead or alive.
