An Ambulance Was Called To Ben Affleck’s Georgia Estate Before His And Jennifer Lopez’s Wedding Celebrations

There are plenty of good reasons not to have your wedding at a plantation, even a faux one like Ben Affleck’s Riceboro, Georgia estate where Ben and his wife Jennifer Lynn Affleck are currently hosting 3-days of post-nuptial nuptials. If you’re planning on saying your “I Do Agains” in a place where the main residence is affectionately called “the Big House,” and your name is not Joe Exotic, you can pretty much guarantee your ass is gonna get haunted. It’s only day one of Bennifer’s second big day and Ben’s already paying the price for his slave-owning ancestors. The Daily Mail reports that just as guests started to arrive for the couple’s rehearsal dinner, an ambulance arrived. At first, it was reported that an unidentified child injured their arm, but it was actually Ben’s mom, Chris Affleck, who fell off his dock and cut her leg.
Accident or omen? Carelessness or curse? I guess we’ll find out soon enough if Ben starts shivering and speaking in tongues like a man processed when the priest/celebrity life coach Jay Shetty asks him to say his vows because some angry ghost has cursed him with cold feet yet again. DM reports:
A source told The Daily Mail that Ben’s mother, Christopher Anne Boldt, fell off a dock and cut her leg at the Riceboro property. Ben reportedly found her and called the ambulance.
JLo arrived carrying a Dior bag, downcast and wearing a summer dress after the medical emergency at the property where she and Ben are celebrating their lavish wedding this weekend.
A source told The Daily Mail that the incident was ‘not serious.’

Nice try, little ghost but it’s gonna take a lot more than Ben’s mom with a cut leg to derail this train. It left the station 20 years ago and has been picking up steam ever since. Plans have been made, roads have been built, “sprung wood flooring has been laid, furniture shipped in and ice-machines installed across the property to guarantee guests an ice-cold beverage in the heavy heat of the Georgia tidal marsh.” Wait, no on-site Dunkin pop-up? I’m disappointed that Ben didn’t fight harder for what he wants.
The home has special meaning to Affleck who bought it in 2003 when he and Lopez first got together.
It was reportedly the location in which they intended to marry first time round, before their high-octane engagement foundered under the pressure of their mutual stardom.
Affleck put the property on sale in 2018 for $8.9million. He reduced the price to $7.6million the following year but quietly took it off the market entirely in June 2020.
On Thursday security was tight. A high wooden gate has been erected across the access road to Hampton Island, the nature preserve on which Affleck’s property sits.
A sign instructs all-comers to have their ID ready to be checked by the security guards who stand sentry along with a local Sheriff Deputy who is permanently stationed at the gate.
This wedding is happening, people! There is no turning back, Ben and Jen have already done their pre/post-matrimony pap-stroll in downtown Savannah.
The only press that’s needed now is a helicopter shot of Ben splayed out in an rocking chair on the porch of the Big House catching some lazy flies and a few Zs after all this is over.
