Ben Affleck Was Bothered By The Amount Of Paparazzi On His Paris Honeymoon With Jennifer Lopez

Ever since the “let’s get this done before he changes his mind” Vegas wedding of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez last month, pretty much every picture of Ben reinforced that he has a face that captures every negative emotion of these trying times. This was especially apparent on their Paris honeymoon, where he basically looked like his mom drug him to a birthday party for a classmate he doesn’t talk to “just to be polite.” Page Six reports that part of Ben’s issue was that he was disturbed by the paparazzi’s presence during their honeymoon trip (to one of the most overt cities in the world in which to be papped). But Ben better buckle up, because he has a days-long wedding obligation/”celebration” coming up now that the ink on the marriage certificate has dried, and J.Lo has surely already called in all of the paps in a 5-state radius.

This isn’t Ben’s first time at the J.Lo/pap shitshow rodeo; back when they were engaged the first time, their impending wedding was called off because of the anticipated frenzy that would accompany it. via Page Six:

Back in 2002 the photogenic couple faced unprecedented media attention. They even had to postpone their first planned wedding in 2003 after they were forced to go so far as to consider having “decoy brides” on their doomed big day.

In a statement released the day before the original nuptials, they said, “Due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date.” (And, of course, they never rescheduled that particular wedding.)

20 years later, things on the pap front haven’t improved. Modern-day Bennifer still draws them in, and it was especially concerning to Ben during their honeymoon last month.

“Ben was a little freaked out in Paris,” says the source. “This was a whole new level.” Adding, “an almost Princess-Diana level.”

“Ben is used to the flashing lights,” says the source. “But he felt that the honeymoon was a tsunami. Jen’s made out of steel and knows it comes with the territory [but] he still gets pissed off.”

When it comes to getting snapped, Jennifer is always on and ready, while Ben has inadvertently given us all of the irked reaction shots we need to express ourselves for the remainder of 2022, after his shining 2020 contribution.

While Lopez, 53, looks picture-perfect in every frame shots, Affleck always seems to be made for memes.

True to form, a shot of Affleck, 49, on the recent trip on a Seine River cruise with Lopez and their respective children, shows him at the front of the boat, asleep, with his mouth open.

In case you missed that:

He was also photographed getting teary-eyed at La Girafe, on the Place du Trocadéro in front of the Eiffel Tower.

And here’s that:

Paps also caught the couple locking lips at Le Matignon restaurant, smooching near the Elysée Palace and caught just about every other moment of the trip.

And here he is fulfilling his one contractually-obligated set of semi-carefree pics:

But he just seemed overwhelmingly exasperated for the majority of the time:

So it really didn’t need to be said that Ben was annoyed with all of the attention; it was written all over his face. I would assume Jennifer was also annoyed but for another reason–there simply weren’t enough paps! That’s ok, she always learns. She and her next husband will be honeymooning at the Chateau Marmont, will eat dinner at Nobu Malibu every night, and will tour every Starbucks in LA–because the only thing Ben will ask for in the divorce is full reign over his one true love: Dunkin.
