Kanye West Is Selling His Wyoming Ranch Compound, While Kim Kardashian Gets To Keep Their Ugly Hidden Hills Mansion
Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from her husband of 6 years, Kanye West, way back in February. As it turns out, Kim wasn’t the only one who wanted to split up for good from a huge, expensive, pain in the ass. Kanye West has decided that after two years of dumping millions and millions of cash into it, Kanye doesn’t want his giant Wyoming ranch anymore and he’s selling it. So Wyoming is very close to not having to deal with Kanye anymore.
TMZ has a few recent details about the progression of Kim and Kanye’s divorce. Currently, they’re splitting up property and deciding who gets to live where. And to the shock of no one I’m sure, neither of those two fame whores wants to live the simple life of privacy, quiet, and solitude of Wyoming. Technically Wyoming was Kanye’s thing; he purchased his acre ranch compound a little over two years ago. The property is located outside of Cody, Wyoming, and featured 8 buildings, two lakes, an event center, and barns for horses. The 9000-acre property was reportedly worth $14 million, and Kanye allegedly bought half the property, under the agreement he share the other half with the government. So it’s not really known how much he paid, but The Daily Mail says he’s trying to dump it onto somebody else for $11 million. That might mean Kanye ended up buying the whole ranch and he’s trying to get most of his investment back. Or maybe the overall value has really gone up on the property since Kanye installed that pee pee garden. Who knows.
Kanye West appears to be on the move again after listing his Wyoming ranch for $11 million, DailyMail.com can reveal.
The 9,000 acre Monster Lake Ranch in Wyoming was originally listed for $14million when the rapper bought it back in September 2019, though it was reported at the time that West, 44, paid under the asking price.
While it is unclear exactly what price the “Stronger” hitmaker purchased it for, the new asking price is $3million less than what it was when he bought it.
This is a complete 180-degree turnaround from the last time Kanye and his beloved Wyoming ranch were the topic of conversation. It was said that Kanye wanted to move their whole family to Wyoming to live there permanently, something that Kim allegedly agreed to at the time (she once said that she could see herself in Wyoming full-time by 2029). Kanye spent a lot of time in Wyoming, which wasn’t necessarily a great thing for his mental health. His ranch is where Kanye hid out for a bit during his massively wasteful 2020 Presidential run and simultaneous mental health relapse. It was reported that the Wyoming ranch was the straw that broke the tacky back of the Kardashian-West marriage, due to the fact that Kanye didn’t want to leave and Kim didn’t want to live there. But, Kanye’s life in Wyoming wasn’t picture perfect. It was also a mess. Kanye tried to channel his inner HGTV host in Wyoming by building an amphitheater, and construction was almost immediately shut down due to permit problems. And it was all for nothing, apparently, because Kanye wants to move the fuck out of The Cowboy State.
But Kanye has a place to live back in the state of California. Just not with Kim of course. TMZ says that Kim will keep the $60 million personality-void cold European plaster showroom she and Kanye have called home since 2014.
According to court docs filed Tuesday, Kim will get the $60 million home – where she and her kids have stayed ever since she filed divorce docs in February. We’re told the former couple negotiated a buyout price for the home that was essentially rebuilt from the ground up.
If you want to see Kim’s single mom house, here it is:
According to Page Six, Kim recently admitted on Ellen that whenever she and her eldest daughter North West get into a fight, North will hiss at her: “Your house is so ugly. It’s all white. Who lives like this?“. It’s not any better at her Dad’s house, which is currently a $57 million concrete cube in Malibu. Poor North. Her dwelling choices are either a beach house that looks like a fallout shelter or a mansion that looks like an unfurnished French asylum. Kim and Kanye shouldn’t be surprised when either of them opens North’s bedroom door one day and realizes that she’s rebelled against them by pasting her walls in floral wallpaper and covering the floor in lime green shag carpeting.
