Today Kate Winslet woke up in her modest 3-bedroom bungalow in the suburbs of London. She made breakfast, sent her kids to school, did a little Facebooking, and then drove to the biscuit factory, where she works as an assistant manager. It may be shocking, but we no longer live in a reality where Kate shot to global superstardom as Rose DeWitt Bukater in Titanic. That role has been retroactively re-cast with a fluffy black cat named Lizzy, stage name: OwlKitty. Thanks to the power of the green screen, OwlKitty’s the one who made out with Leonardo DiCaprio on the bow of the ship. OwlKitty’s the one who laid on that couch, titties out. Kate Winslet “Couldn’t Stop Crying” When She Reunited With Leonardo DiCaprio After 3 Years

Kate Winslet did an interview with The Guardian to reflect on the success of Mare of Easttown, the pandemic, and her career. And since they discussed Kate Winslet’s career, the subject of Titanic inevitably reared its iconic, Oscar-winning head (err, bow). And with Titanic comes Jack Dawson, aka Leonardo DiCaprio. Kate, 46, says she didn’t see her buddy Leo, 47, for three years because of the pandemic, and when they recently reunited in LA, she “couldn’t stop crying.” Was it because Leo was with his Gen-Z girlfriend, Camila Morrone, and Kate realized the 24-year-old was born the same year Titanic premiered??

Matthew McConaughey Auditioned With Kate Winslet For The Role Of Jack In “Titanic”

If you’ve ever wondered what Titanic would have been like if James Cameron had cast a grown ass man in the part of Jack instead of fetus-faced Leonardo DiCaprio, then you better hold on to your bonnet! Kate Winslet said on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that she auditioned with The One And Only Texas T-Rex, Matthew McConaughey. Damn! I think Matthew would have been fabulous and much more believable as a worldly vagabond. What a wasted opportunity.
