Mindy Kaling Talked About Why She And B.J. Novak Won’t Ever Date Each Other Again
Many The Office diehards have fantasized about Kelly and Ryan’s running away together in the series finale leaking over into real life. But even though “RYAN started the FIYAH!” in her pants on and off for a bit over the years, Mindy Kaling recently appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show and explained why she and her former The Office co-star, B.J. Novak, are never getting back together.
NBC Is “Standing By” For A Reboot Of “The Office”
Rumors of a reboot of the American version of The Office have been swirling since Christ was a cowboy (2017-ish). Back then NBC’s plan was to have a Steve Carrell-less revival ready for the 2018-2019 television season, just five years after the original ended in 2013. Obviously, that didn’t happen. But now that NBCUniversal’s launched their Peacock streamer and spent a cool $500 million buying The Office rights back from Netflix, the idea is back on the table. Yesterday NBCUniversal’s content chief Susan Rovner told Deadline that whenever The Office showrunner Greg Daniels wants to do one, “we’re standing by.” Then she whispered, “Please come back, baby,” and burst into tears.
HBO Paid James Gandolfini $3 Million To NOT Star On “The Office”
IndieWire says that on the most recent episode of the Talking Sopranos podcast, Sopranos actors Michael Imperioli and Steve Schirripa dropped some news about a payoff that went down between HBO and star of the series, the sadly deceased James Gandolfini. It seems that James was once offered to replace Steve Carrell on The Office, but HBO didn’t want to tarnish one of their most iconic actors with something as drab as television comedy so they made James a different offer he couldn’t refuse! $3 million to not get a job.
Brian Baumgartner, Who Played Kevin On “The Office,” Is Cameo’s #1 Earner For 2020
Cameo. It’s a service where you can pay to have your favorite C to Z-List celebrities give your loved ones a special shout out. A lot of people use them for birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, etc. Hell, some dudes even use it to propose to their girlfriends (note to my future fiancé – DO NOT DO THIS). But who’s the King/Queen of Cameo? Nope, it’s not Lindsay Lohan ($215). It’s actually Brian Baumgartner ($195), who played Kevin on The Office. Cameo’s CEO, Steven Galanis, revealed that Brian has earned over a million dollars from Cameos in 2020 alone!
Open Post: Hosted By Steve Carell And John Krasinski’s Social Distancing “Office” Reunion
Two sexy hot daddies, Steve Carell and John Krasinski, remotely reunited in honor of The Office’s fifteenth anniversary. Cue all the bros on Tinder immediately splooshing their pajama jeans (seriously, half those online dating dudes exclusively speak in Office quotes, the other half list their “Employer” as “Dunder Mifflin” #YaBasic).
The reunion consisted of Steve and John giggling about good times and reminiscing about their favorite Office moments. Unlike those feuding d-bags on Will & Grace, that cast genuinely seems to like one another.
NBC Is Reportedly Bringing Back “The Office” Without Steve Carell
Back in August, NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt let it be known that they were busy reviving old shows and The Office was brought up as a possible option. Well, rumor has it that we’re definitely getting more of The Office in 2018. But like every wish made on a cursed monkey paw goes, there’s always a sinister catch. The Office is coming back, Steve Carell isn’t coming back with it. And just like that, the news of an Office reboot quickly turned into a boardroom full of depressing barely inflated brown and grey balloons.
