Megan Mullally Won’t Be In All The Episodes Of The Last Season Of “Will & Grace” Because Of A Possible Feud With Debra Messing

The Will & Grace reboot is about to get far less fabulous with the news that Megan Mullally is going to be MIA for a couple episodes in the current, and final, season. But at least it’s for the second best reason: An unspoken feud! The best reason, of course, would be a public feud complete with a red carpet cat fight, but I guess we’ll take what we can get. TVLine reports that rumored friction between Megan and her co-star Debra Messing prompted Megan to take a temporary leave of absence from the upcoming 11th season.

TVLine reports:

TVLine has learned exclusively that Megan Mullally recently took a temporary leave of absence from the final, 18-episode season of Will & Grace that resulted in her missing two episodes as Karen. It’s not clear why Mullally took the time off, but her mini-departure comes amid rumors of friction on the set between her and co-star Debra Messing.

The scuttlebutt started earlier this year when sharp-eyed fans noticed that Mullally and Messing stopped following each other on Instagram. And in subsequent Will & Grace-themed social media posts, the pair have rarely been pictured together. (It also appears that Mullally has stopped following her aforementioned onscreen sidekick, Sean Hayes.)

This is honestly the best episode of Will & Grace since it debuted in 1998! Apparently, Karen only follows Will now, ok, Eric McCormack. Eric tried to do some damage control back in September when whoever it is that keeps track of who follows who, discovered The Unfollowing. Eric said:

“people worried… entirely too much” about Instagram-gate, before adding, “The four of us get along like a house on fire, we always have.”

Well, Eric, I don’t believe you! Unless you mean that literally, and Megan actually torched the set by lighting her martini on fire and throwing it in Debra’s face. Looking at the Instagram pages of all 4 leads, you can really see that one of these things is not like the other. Debra, Sean Hayes, and Eric’s pages are filled with W&G shit. Megan, not so much. She mostly posts memes and pictures of her hot hubby Nick Offerman. In fact, her most recent post announcing the season premiere looks like a (contractually obligated) hostage video.

I’m sure Megan can’t wait to be done with W&G and take some time to spend all the bucket loads of money that I’m sure NBC offered her to come back. Because lord knows, nobody would have been interested in a reboot at all if Megan had said no in the first place.
